How come there is no controller support for PC ?

As a player that's been playing with a controller for 33 years, eventually I'm going to have to play keyboard and mouse.
But until then why doesn't ESO have a support section for controllers.
Also why isn't the interface the same as K/M ?

✭✭✭✭✭Some add-ons do not support gamepad mode, but others do. It depends on the add-on. If you need to enter keyboard mode to use some of yours, the automatic setting to switch between controller and keyboard can come especially in handy.1

✭✭Go into the game. You have to use the KBM for the launch and load screens. Once you are in the game with a character, hit ESC. This brings up a menu. Select Settings, then Gameplay. Scroll down the menu on the right until you see a section for Gamepads. Set Gamepad mode to on. Bob's your uncle. It will stay this way across all of your characters until you switch it back.
There's supposed to be a dynamic control system that dynamically swaps between the KBM and gamepad modes, but it doesn't work well for me.Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.0 -

✭There is support. I use an X-Box controller on PC.
Others have stated the way you will go through the settings to set it up. I believe there is an option for "Automatic" which detects whichever input you are using and changes the UI accordingly. I have this setting on, so it recognizes when I'm using controller or KB/M.
Being able to use a controller nearly single handedly saved this game for me. I cannot function in this game with KB/M0 -

The only add-ons I know of that won't work with the controller are the trade guild ones for shopping (MM and TTC). I suspect that it is an issue with the people writing the mods not specifying how the mod works with the controller, or not including the library, or something like that. I use a Razer Tartarus and gaming mouse with a keyboard, since I couldn't get used to just kb/m (switched from console in May) - but I am thinking maybe I should go back to a controller... except I DON'T want the controller/console style interface.

✭I play primarily with a controller but do have some things bound to keys on my keyboard and can use both at the same time with no issues, but I also have the hotkey set to swap between controller and K/M modes if needed.
