Steam owes me about 100,000 gold, since I'm not gonna be able to finish my double gold crafting writs tonight.
I quit the game a while back because of all the stability issues and multiple, if not dozens of failed attempts to fix them. The game was plagued with severe problems with logins, grouping, lag, and a myriad of other things that you'd expect from a game in beta...not one in its 5th year.
So I resubbed this week and already a login issue. Has anything improved or are the same issues still nagging? I probably should have asked this before resubbing!

The dungeon finder still has major issues, they've just gotten a little bit better at hiding it. Example: they finally realized the dungeon finder was riddled with client-server response issues due to people changing zones during a role call so... their solution... kick people out of queue if you get called while changing zones. Like that's going to make customers happy when they've been waiting 45 minutes in queue for a specific dungeon as a DPS.
In cringe every time there is a new update: the other major issue is always getting people disconnecting in trials due to "crash to desktop" or being kicked from the server.
I've been really hoping Microsoft's acquisition of Zenimax would force better development habits: ones that stop trading short term revenue gains (e.g. new features) for long term stability (fix the underlying services and client causing the issues).
I feel bad for the content team, they're pretty creative and to have your game design vision sabotaged by bad infrastructure design is probably a bit heart breaking. It's the key reason why I don't stay a subscriber and why I cancelled my subscription a few years ago.
ESO has the potential to dominate the MMO market, especially with more attention swinging back to MMO's. But most of my real life friends have tried ESO and dumped it because they have less patience for the issues.

But I don’t want to lose anything on my account and I would be afraid to rely on support to fix any issues. They might be able to do it but I doubt it would be done in a timely manner. Does anybody know if there is a guide or documentation on how to rebuy, unlink keeping your account intact?
Oh well, I've been looking for a reason to pick up a copy of New World, maybe this is it?
I logged on through steam this morning, about 7:30am BST, and all was fine. Never had a problem with steam tbh. Has something gone wrong since then?
