• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – July 8, 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating issues some players are having logging into the European PC/Mac megaserver. We will update as new information becomes available.

Anyone else having issues logging in with STEAM?

Keep getting error message when I try to log with STEAM launcher, but can log in with no problem if I bypass it.

Anyone else having issues with STEAM launcher?

    Yup. ironic that I just re-subbed after a year out of the game.

    Yup, 'Unexpected Internal Error, contact Customer Support'.

    Think it's just one of those things where you have to be patient.

    It's a STEAM issue, STEAM has updated something and that change just hasn't populated through all the sub systems yet...is annoying though. Glad my account is old enough I can launch with the executable.

    Yeah I cannot log in. I hate to say this but I'm glad I rebought the game off steam so that I can bypass it.

    Same here. I thought it was Steam doing an update, but my steam account loads and logs in fine, just unable to load ESO

    Me too "Connection to Server Timed Out"

    It is a Tuesday, when Steam normally does their updates. And I remember it was borked a few weeks ago, people on my raid team (myself included) were scrambling to restart our computers and reinstall steam to try and fix it. I guess I'll try that whole mess again, though last time it cleared up after about an hour.

    Before I re-bought the game it wouldn't let me login without steam authentication server login. It would say invalid credentials or something. I spent days trying to find a way and gave up. Eventually during a sale I re-bought the game.

    They made a change that prevents this in I think late 2018.

    Same here - first "Internal Login Error" and then the server started timing out.

    Really getting old, these constant silly problems.

    Fun weirdness, I bypass the launcher and am in game, but it's not recognizing that I am ESO+ and so I can't use my craft bag or dye costumes etc.

    Which is even odder since the ESO free trial is going...

    Lol nevermind forgot you have to activate the trial.

    Between Zenimax and Steam it's hard to believe they can't get their act together and start communicating change management effectively. Mistakes happen, but Steam connectivity has been an ongoing issue for years.

    I was log in and the game lost connection few minutes ago. During node harvesting. Yay... -_-

    If you want to see what all the craftable lights look like in ESO, use this command on PC NA.

    I hope so too! Everything was working fine when I got off work but then had to go start dinner.. come back after cooking/eating/cleanup and... "unexpected internal error". I would really like to play some before I have to fall into bed and start the whole "responsible adult" stuff all over again in the morning!

    I was in game and able to play from steam albiet with some heavy latency issues that I don't usually have, until a few minutes ago when I decided to log off. Of course, I forgot to do one of my endeavors and needed to log in again...and cant now. So weird!

    I quit the game a while back because of all the stability issues and multiple, if not dozens of failed attempts to fix them. The game was plagued with severe problems with logins, grouping, lag, and a myriad of other things that you'd expect from a game in beta...not one in its 5th year.

    So I resubbed this week and already a login issue. Has anything improved or are the same issues still nagging? I probably should have asked this before resubbing!

    when you fix this, look at what went wrong so it stops happening, this has happened many times before
