I agree. This is just awful. First they give us free DLC and now maintenance to keep the game up and running.16 -

But the OP said EU, we get special treatment:
- 7 hours maintenance
- 5 hours for additional issues somehow only affecting EU. We are now in EU prime time and there's the dreaded "We understand some players are experiencing difficulties logging in..."
- Another 8 hours the next day to fix the emergency work they did the day before...5 -

May be it's just me, but I also need to eat, sleep and work during those 24 hours.
Like usual, the maintenance is during Australia/NZ/Asia prime time so for those of us that do eat, sleep and work, it's one less day of the event.PC - NA4 -

We do get less than last year though
Last year and the one before were mostly 4 per quarter(exeptions apply) now we mostly get 3 per quarther (exeptions aplly)

Either way I'll probably lose a day still anyway, I can't always get on in the evenings.
I don't mind maintenance usually, even at the end of an event. It's that they specifically told us this was a prize. It's not the end of the world, I just think it's a bit off that they make us earn something and then take away a big chuck of it.PS4 EU1 -

JOKING: I am sorry, i will just say... I am between two nightshifts, so i came after work, just went complete Endeavors, then maintenence started, went sleep for while, now waiting, do home stuff (yes its good to have free day without ESO ) and after maintenence have about an hour to prepare myself and go to next shift.
Its not crying, just argument to yours 17 hours to play No everyone are kiddos and home office employees 
But i don't mind about maintenence i am just curious what will be broken next after maintenence.
What they fixed in last patches? There is too much big bugs that need to be fixed and they just don't fixing it...

Nobody is saying it's "awful" or "unforgivable" but it's not nothing. Giving away something that people are already paying for via their subs isn't the end of the world, but people were led to believe they were getting something amazing and then it was... nothing. It's disappointing. Same with the maintenance. It's not going to ruin my life, I just think if they're going to make a big deal about how something is a prize we've earned they shouldn't take it away again.
It's like rain on a weekend, I'd rather it didn't happen but there's nothing I can do about it. That doesn't mean I shouldn't notice it and wish it wasn't! I don't really see why it needs to be blown out of proportion like that.PS4 EU0 -

Look at it this way: if you ever decide to cancel your sub you'll still have the DLC. So it's not a total waste. Sorry if you felt I was blowing what you said out of proportion. I was just making a joke so don't take it personally.
