Hi all 🙂
With the preview of the next event tickets for next year on the pts they found the illusion dragon pet as the first reward for Q1. Akatosh is something with dragon god of time . Amulet of kings. And cyrodiil 🐉👑

So maybe a pvp chapter of a pve cyrodiil
A new class.
New skillines.
What are you're thoughts about this?

I find that rather far fetched to say 99% proof, just because of a pet. Think it's still way to early to speculate.

Hi! While we already know about the illusion dragon, a connection between Akatosh and a Cyrodiil seems interresting. At least maybe a Q4 DLC will brought us restored IC or something like that :)

A pet and Akatosh scales skin as one of the event morphs. Maybe in an expansion or DLC we will visit somewhere in Aetherius like the Battlespire.

Can you please edit the title? Some of us aren't on PTS and quite like the element of surprise so deliberately avoid finding out this stuff. Seeing it in the thread title can be an unexpected spoiler

    Thank you

The stuff on PTS points towards people who worship Akatosh, not to Akatosh himself.

    Another cult of Akatosh.

Not really, this years stuff was Deadlands related, its fair to assume next years will follow the same pattern.

In Oblivion, the story ended with Dagon fighting an avatar of Akatosh.

How fitting that the next story after Dagon is about Akatosh.

Honestly I think elements of this was teased in the Elsweyr year long story, with the bits and pieces we learned about Akatosh.

Elysweyr and Greymoor didn't have the event pet themed to it, and Deadlands was special as it coincided with an important anniversary of Oblivion. I wouldn't say it's necessarily a pattern until we see it happen more than once.

That said, I do think it's a good chance of that for other reasons including the success of New World.

Considering we only get to the Deadlands in the Q4 DLC, Akatosh related stuff might not even show up in the chapter.
Like, knowng about the event rewards this year gave you 0 clue that the chapter was set in Blackwood.

Um, not really. Like I remember when console saw the pet early at the tent there were people instantly thinking of Dagon/Deadlands.

    Plenty guessed early the theme.

If you can morph the pet into a mount, we have really reached Pokémon levels of evolution.

Also @Faulgor you were apparently in that thread too! Now that we have the Quasigriff, did ya feel like a master of Pokémon? Did you have the skills to be number one? Do we all live in a Pokémon world? Pokémon.

Well yes, that's what I wanted to say. The event rewards including the pet pointed to the Deadlands/Dagon, but not Blackwood, i.e. the region of Cyrodiil the chapter eventually took place in.
So if we extrapolate from the Dragon pet and Akatosh skin rewards for next year, we can guess the theme, but not necessarily the setting. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

And yeah, I feel like a true Pokémon master. Especially on my Sorc, where I can run up to 6 pets next patch. A full team. Bless the hybrids and proc set crits.
