Hi everyone. You can tell me that I read and learn them daily, as you see the magden in this and the next patch. Is it viable for high end (especially vet trials and its HM)?

A friend gave me a Britlle build and I really liked it, I want to change the character, but I am afraid that it is not viable. I have some sustain problems, but I went from playing a magcro with which I parse 92k and I really enjoyed doing almost the same rotation with my crazy bear (i love the bear XD)

I'm afraid to invest a lot of time in my character and then they won't accept me in the raid groups, especially since the warden is a very good healer.

Can you tell me if you see it as viable for this high end content?

Thank you!!!

In all honesty I used to worry about this too because wardens are known as healers, but don't worry, magden dps are accepted to raid groups and can perform in vet and hm content. In fact, unless someone is trying to put together a specific roster with the classes pre-defined, which tends to happen only for trifectas and the new vRG HM, then any class (and sometimes even stam/mag spec) is accepted for a raid as long as your parse meets whatever dps threshold the guild or raid leader has. And if you do encounter a raid group that discriminates by class, go find a better group.

All that being said, if you want tips for magden builds let us know. Generally, it seems a full DoT rotation is best unless you are on a brittle build. Also, use the stamina morph of shalks if you have sustain issues. And on that note, magden will probably be even better next patch because hybrid sets will make stam shalks hit harder. Plus everyone will be able to wear different sets so expect an overall power bump next patch as well.

This community is amazing. Thank you very much for your help.
If you have any build advice, I'll take it. I was using the Skinny Cheeks and LucaCash (who are my favorite players) with some situational skill tweaks.

I remember looking at Skinny Cheeks' build video, as well as one by Liko. They have a lot of good info to get you started. For U32, it's probably a good idea to hang onto sets like Relequen, Yandir's, Kinras, and Tzogvin as these seem to be parsing best for stam sets. Then obviously Bahsei's, DV, Siro, MS, and Medusa are all still very strong contenders as mag sets. I'm thinking people will run one stam and one mag, but honestly it's still to early to say. (Edit: I forgot to mention AY as another very strong set that mag users can run now, if you can run front bar daggers).

I started as a plain old double fire staff magden, but have since switched to a nice brittle build with front bar ice back bar fire. Part of the reason is that I'm a big fan of bringing utility for my group but also because traditional full dot magden builds generally rely on scalding rune as a semispammable, which I found very awkward to use in actual content, and I much prefer the new and improved frost reach as a spammable. As such, I don't have much more insight on a traditional setup past what a build video would tell you, though if you want to join the frost discord as Night suggested, there are a lot of knowledgeable wardens there, both in frost and traditional fire builds.
