    Yes.
Of course... I am playing it right now on the PTS.

No but I will complete the zone once at least.
Of course, it's more content. Why would anyone not be looking forward to that?

There can be several reasons why not wanting/being excited for a new dlc what brings nothing but a bit of lore.

Given how poorly written stories are after Summerset ended I expect the worse:
If I will be correct I will not be disappointed because I expected it being bad.
If I will be wrong I will be positively surprised and my fun will be doubled.

    <salty>
Also all the promises about DK (my favourite class) being brought in line to current updates feel like half done (if it even is half), Earthen Heart had few changes on PTS, maybe 2-3 skills got changed (1 is passive) and updated, Draconic Power was not even touched. Most skills we found to be lacking were given no changes (no Stone FIst changes, no Molten Weapons changes < it's effect can be given by potion>, Leap Gap closer Ulti is still bugged and cannot be used sometimes, Green Blood being useless is still not touched, Inhale and Morphs are still bad and not used by most players, passives give health recovery from some past age of eso and all players know it is useless now). But hey 1 change of whip and ppl say DK is OP ...
    </salty>

Yeee I am not expecting anything... But will play it anyways to see if I was right or wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's not just some lore. A zone, quests, exploration, loot...

But yeah, if you paid for a DLC (or subbed, whatever) and just got some lore entries, that would be a valid reason to be upset.

If it's the same eye scorching colour scheme as the portals, I'm not looking forward to that.

But I will complete the story.

I've already cleared it once on the PTS and will definitely do so again on live.

I always love exploring a new zone regardless of the story ZOS chooses to tell.

So did I and I will do it again because of all the awesome places to see and characters to meet in The Deadlands. B)

Jokes aside though I love Fargrave, and will spend a lot of time there I know, just for the ambience.

Of course, especially now that it's free and I won't have to wait until I'm able to resub to ESO+. I hope the story picks up like it did with Markarth last year though because while the Ambitions plot is interesting, it's basically an invasion of Nirn story all over again but with red flames instead of blue. I guess it's more about me not caring that much for Dagon. Buuut if we get his origin story with Meridia and all, well things could change...

What does the dlc actually contain?

If the armoury is free to everyone it's not that. Is it just quests - no arena? Not dissing the fact they gave content away, free stuff is good but they made a big deal about the armoury being the big selling point when you get that anyway. Is it really just quests?

I like trees and forests. Hellish zones are just unpleasant to be in, as the imagery proposes. Why would you ever want to go back once the story is finished?

Do you watch hellish horror movies once a day during your entertainment time? Would you go for a walk in the woods instead if you had some near your house?

But I'm a bit disappointed there's no new arena coming with it, which is the reason I was a bit disappointed with Dragonhold 2 years ago.

I'm very much looking forward to the curated item set RNG.

You say there is a new zone and questline to go along with it? Interesting. I've been focused entirely on that first part. I suppose I'll take some quest content as a bonus.

The set Rng is part from update 32 I believe and has nothing to do with the DLC apart from releasing at the same day.

No. With all the bugs already in the game not being fixed, this will only add more.

    For example:

    Dark convergence
    DK leap
    Tri fecta
    Blue screens/crashes

honestly not really sure how to feel about it

    + cool lore
+ interesting zone that changes things up from TES4
    + Great Update to Builds

BUT I have lost all interest in the main story because it always hypes up a big bad which ultimately turns out to be Extremely disappointing. All the hype for a boss fight that has bare minimum mechanics and not even nerfing yourself will fix how bland and boring it is.

Almost all interesting and engaging gameplay is relegated to group content, leaving solo play to be really boring when it comes to the supposedly world ending threats - which are easier than bosses in dungeons which are supposed to be minor threats.

it creates an inconsistent gameplay experience when the minions of the main guy in dungeons are vastly harder/engaging than the gameplay of the Main Boss at the End of the Year story.

    Haven't done Blackwood yet either.

IMO Mehrunes invading and failing once before TES4 isn't exactly a good look. And the actual invasion seems like Planemeld 2.0, lazy.

Honestly these world-ending big bad threats in ESO suffer from serious narrative dissonance because other TES games exist and we know Tamriel is fine in those. Loses any sense of threat or consequence.

Deadlands probably has the biggest QoL updates the game has handed out so far. This is very impressive for a Q4 DLC. Also, the zone is really unique. Quite a few neat little touches you wouldn't normally expect. I didn't think I'd like an ugly Oblivion realm, either. As it turns out, I do. :relieved:

I always found that the small Q4 DLCs
had more interesting stories and characters than the big Chapters.
Considering this, I am very much looking forward to Deadlands,
especially the Daedra City and how us Mortals are fitting into this.
