What a detailed and analytical point you've made. I may have to reconsider using this skill at all now. Thanks for the metrics and objectivity!! HAHAHA.

    J/k... funny post though.

Counterpoint: Crushing shock is good for PVP.

It supplies 3 sources of damage. Which is great for anything that has a percent chance to proc, like poisons and enchantments.

It interrupts and stuns casting targets. Which is great to shut down people doing skills with cast times rather than using a bash. And it sets people off balance.

Being a destro staff ability, it ignores 10% spell resistance. And you restore magic if you secure a kill with it.

It's a ranged interrupt skill, what's not to love about this? But sure, I'll take a buff...

    * Interrupts rezzes and people using siege which behave like cast times.

It basicly designed for sorcs only since has 0 synergy with every other class

In the next patch, the charged trait will provide 480% increase of status effect. maybe pair with draugrkin set the skill can do a bit better with Magicka Necro passive 15% dots damage.

Crushing Shock is the best spammable for Magsorc when line of sight is an issue. The ability fires instantly as soon as enemy players are in sight. The interrupt happens rarely but when it does it's useful. The status effect is an added bonus.

Crystal Fragments has a cast time and frequently players pop in/out line of sight and the spell never finishes casting.

Elemental Weapon has a slight delay which causes frequent misses due to line of sight and lots of wasted magicka.

Crystal Frags has the highest damage and Crushing Shock / Elemental Weapon have similar dps within 1-2%.

You can verify this on a dummy.
