Auridon - no books, no fishing?

Been in Auridon for a few days now and there have been no blue glowing books and no salt or river fishing spots. Granted the fishing spots could have been used already but you usually come across one over the course of a few days.. and Ive even looked up the locations on UESP and (the books especially) are just not there. Tried to reloadui and still nothing.. Ticket 210910-007178

Are the books you're looking for Auridon zone specific, or are they under another category? Certain books can spawn throughout all 3 zones, and if you've picked it up in one zone, it won't show up in Auridon.

Yes they are Auridon zone specific, I had all of the other area ones already.

Just frustrating thats all..

You say you've looked, but in case it helps, here's a map of the Auridon fishing locations.

I've never had a problem finding the splashing water, but if you want to make sure you aren't missing anything, Hissmir Fish-Eye Rye drink will grant Keen Eye for fishing holes.

I see one thread on Reddit saying someone had the same issue in Auridon, with only suggestion being to try to go into a different instance of the zone. I guess you could relog, or try to travel to a guildmate in Auridon and see if that moves you.

Thanks but thats what I have been using, along with the interactive map for the book locations on UESP. I dont usually use the map until I have finished all of the locations on the map but I was over halfway and not come across one blue book. I even sent them a screenshot of the location where there was meant to be a book and it was not shown as found already.

I havent tried the travel to a guildmate, will try that. This was over a week though, so I logged in quite a few times in that time frame with no changes. The fishing appeared when I travelled to the north of the map and Ive gone back down to the bottom and they are now there.

Its just frustrating that it was not appearing as it should and I tried to get their help and it was ignored by ZOS. Not even a confirmation of my ticket or anything.

Its kinda nice to know I wasnt the only one that was having issues!

There's not generally a response to tickets in this forum, but the ticket will trigger an email chain.

First response is boilerplate stuff and asks "Did this resolve your issue?" or that type of thing.

When you say 'no' then a human will respond next time.

I just recently picked up fishing and had a similar experience in Auridon and other areas as well.

I get the feeling sometimes when you first arrive in the zone that the fishing holes just haven’t showed up yet. After being in zone for maybe 15 mins or so I find some.

Most recently I had this happen in Coldharbour near the Argonian town in the southwest corner in the map. There are more fishing holes located there than anywhere else but I could only find 2 or 3 of them when I got there, but after an hour or so I was finding many more.
