MESSAGES ACROSS TAMRIEL - I'M IN A PICKLE!
Hello, I gave on Motes of The Moonlight so I grinded Reaper's March to 45ish to get the Mages Guild quest 'Messages Across Tamriel' where you have to unite the alliances to fight Molag Bal or something...I would know what the quest was about IF I didn't get D/C'd during mid conversation with the NPC. Now, I logged back in, after my internet decided to kick back on. The NPC for the quest was not there, at all. Has yet to respawn, and I never finished my conversation so I never 'accepted' the quest, since it is main story questline, you have to finish the first conversation in order to abandon and restart, this is not my case. I simply am unable to abandon the quest, the [X] Abandon toggle is not there, at all. Therefore, I can not reset the quest or try to do a 'soft reset' or whatever to try and get the NPC to respawn. I am unable to progress through the game entirely because of this. Technical support just tells me to abandon the quest and log-in 15mins later. I would LOVE to do that, if I were even able to click [X] to get rid of the quest in the first place. The only solution I can think of is rolling me back to where I can actually talk to the NPC again, I don't know if you can spawn him in front of me or what, but I have very little wiggle room here and I would highly appreciate some help from somebody, not automated support. The picture below shows that I have no option to [X] Abandon, and I even right clicked the quest to show additional options, revealing nothing. Tajima✭You can't abandon Main quests that's why everyone who experiences one that is bugged gets pissed because it halts all progression through the game once you get to a certain point and there is nothing you can do about it until Zenimax feels like patching and fixing it. In the meantime any complaints you send will fall on deaf ears because they will just send you automated messages consisting of useless suggestions and alternatives that they know will not work. We are paying them to give us more problems that they will ignore essentially, example the main quest "Messages Across Tamriel" has been bugged since (official release) which prevents you from doing any veteran content what so ever which is just unacceptable it is the god damn main quest and they are just leaving it bugged and expect us to pay them a subscription fee to play a game you can't progress through because of serious bugs not minor non essential quest bugs.

So, even if I do manage to get it 'unbugged' it will only be bugged in the end? Fantastic, for the most part I just want to be able to accept the quest, just so I have it when they actually do eventually patch it.

Mortuum✭✭✭✭For broken/bugged ''Message Across Tamriel'' quest, there is 1 temporary solution, until they fix it.
Go to you alliance last zone(lvl35+) and ask in zone for people who can port to Coldharbour. Group with person, and use ''Port to player'' when he is in Coldharbour. Find NPC named ''Groundkeeper''. Start ''Armies Of Tamriel'' quest and continue main story.
It doesnt work for all(no idea why) but it does for most people. Did that(as i was lucky to have bug-free version of ''Messages...'') to help at least 15 people, only 1 couldnt continue main story.
Hope it helps at least few with this problem.
