I was curious about the penalty timer. Until recently, I didn't spend much time in dungeons as I had a few friends to queue with. They've all moved on. I've joined a few guilds, though most of the time I queue up for a random to get it out of the way.
Yesterday, I ended up in a group with someone in vCT who was rather rude and insisted on holding up the dungeon because he wanted to be kicked. This was in spite of the fact that nobody had died or came close to dying on first boss. DPS was perhaps a bit slow; however, it was nowhere near as painful as some groups I've joined. He continued to berate everyone until he got his wish to be kicked, even though he could have easily left by this point.
My understanding is that if you leave early you will receive a penalty. Unfortunately, I've had to do this with CoA II because the PS5 crash bug still persists after the most recent update. On the other hand, are people able to avoid the penalty timer if they are kicked from the group? If this is the case, it doesn't seem conducive to allow folks with nasty attitudes to hold up one group so they can go onto queue again and do the same thing to another group.
Is this how it works or am I incorrect?
