Resource Surveys should respawn immediately

✭While I sort of like how it is now, I think it would be even better if, in addition to running a certain distance, we could also get the node site to respawn instantly by double-clicking (or activating) the survey for it in our bags. It would only work if activated within a certain distance of the node site it was for. They could even add some sort of flash or sound effect to it to keep with the light-RP theme of surveys in general.1 -

✭Kinda funny, when i made a very similar post a while back forum people smashed me to the ground for being too lazy to do my surveys lol. It's nice to see more people coming to the lands of the reason.

✭✭Surveys are turning into too much of a chore that is keeping me from more interesting gameplay. After surveys had built up for a few weeks, it took me 2 hours yesterday just to clear all the Enchanting ones. And all I was doing was riding back and forth in the world. It doesn't improve the experience for other players and it certainly wasn't engaging for me. At this point, it just feels like a system that might have had some interesting immersive elements when first devised ("hey you get to find and dig up extra resources from a secret spot in the world!") but never scaled very well. Instead of getting surveys as a reward for doing writs, I'd prefer just getting the resources as the reward please.
But they *want* you to go out in the world! It’s not that bad a thing!
I stack surveys (& treasure maps) and when I have a big amount, spend one evening pootling round Tamriel doing them all methodically. Also pick up mats, scry and do the odd dolmen/wb. Relaxing time from what I usually do, and sometimes discover interesting things, even after god knows how many years of playing.
I really can’t empathize with posts here. You are getting free stuff for minimum effort, and yet you are complaining you have to move a small distance away for the survey to respawn. Astounding.Edited by Hallothiel on September 10, 2021 12:52PM2
