Inner Light - Magelight orb is WAY too bright (it hurts my eyes)

Had it for 20 mins, had to remove the spell from my hotbar, the freaking glowing orb hurts my eyes.

Suggestion: Remove it, its that simple, the spell already has the "inner light" spell animation, that orb just kills me.

    Hey Nehemia! (Infamous from TESOF)

I totally agree, it's bright and distracting and really annoying! It would be nice to have a toggle in which you can turn the orb off. I like the glowing around my arms though with Inner Light, just *** that stupid orb.

Another thing that is annoying is the constant hissing...

    Strong agreed.
This spell so need, but because he have this obsession animation I can't use him - terribly annoying.
Just do off option animation orb for him or remade as another "blue eyes", ears, hands...
In addition, his toggle function work incorrectly. He untoggle everytime, when u change location(loading screens) and etc. But he should not! My class spell -leech strikes, one time toggled never off, while I do not want. This is true work of toggle spell.
Please. go to meet the players - correct animation(another / can be off) and make it normal as toggle mode.

Thanks and sorry for poor english

I personally love this spell & wish it would cast a brighter glow.

There are so many times, while looking for bookcases or whatnot, that I have to wait for the ball to cycle back in front of me so I can see the difference between a shadow & a dark patch of wall.

Does the morph also have the orb and the hiss sound?

I agree with the OP, i hate the orb and the hissing, and in the First person view the particle effects at the bottom the screen are just awful, especially when using the FOV mod... which they will be including in the game in the future.

I just unlocked Inner Light, and disappointed that the annoying orb is still there. The skill is called INNER light. Why is there still an external orb that takes up half your screen? It would be appreciated if the orb was removed for this skill.

Its inner fire, so why is there an orb?

The first time I saw someone with that morph in beta, I thought it was epic. Glowing eyes and arms... cool stuff. Then my dreams were crushed when I found out the guys orb was bugged and not showing up for me...

The orb is extremely useful in PvP as you can tell who has Inner Light activated.

Basically, if you are sneaking and you see an enemy with inner light, you know to avoid them or attack because they will find you.

I take it none of you took the magelight abilities in past games?

But then I guess you could argue that the light-on-self abilities have no ball, so eh, i'll throw my two cents into this.

Remove the ball, but keep the "Blue fire" effect on the character.

In my opinion the orb should keep hovering over a single sideways position (so it may not be that annoying) and could be a bit brighter.

I have no issue with the orb personally, and my computer is running things on pretty bright settings!
Granted I've been rolling with it on 2 characters basically since launch, so I suppose I'm accustomed to it.

I agree that the spell mage light morph to innerlight should NOT have the orb. Because Inner light can be used by mages outside of cyrodiil (as it has more uses) It should have the orb removed. it already has an indication animation that its on and does not need the orb.

On top of being bright as hell it is rather annoying after 20 minutes of use. How ive managed to keep it on for the duration of my play is mind boggling.

Please ZoS remove the orb from the inner light morph.

Maybe make it a toggle in the options like "Show inner light orb" Yes/No. I personally like the effect, but many seem not to. Also like it or not it might be good to have that option for PVP so you can turn it off for that, so rogues can't tell who is using it 8)

Rogues can still tell who is using it anyways. When looking at an enemy player (or other player in general), all you see is the blue glow and not the orb. For some reason, only the player who is using Inner Light sees the orb. In other words, when someone else looks at you, no orb. When you look at your character, you get sick after 10 minutes with that orb orbiting around... But I agree, an option to toggle the visibility of the orb to the player only would be a great idea for those who get sick from it floating around.

I see the orb on friendly players, and I'm pretty sure I've seen the orb on enemies.

I know for a fact I saw it on a teammate last night.

Were they using Mage Light or Inner Light? Mage Light I still see the orb on other players. Inner Light I only see the glow.

Yeah, agreed. The orb needs to go. Maybe have it hover over your head actually lightning up the environment so it can be used a flashlight of sorts, but not this rotating, nauseating and eye-hurting disco ball.

I dont mind the orb, just keep it stationary.
If you switch to first person mode, the Orb is stationary and remains above the characters head.
Simply remove the "Orbit" and its fine.

Im gonna have to assume the circling orb serves as a tell to your 'hidden enemies' that you have the power to see them.... just sayin... Kind of like the flashing lights on top of a cop car.

Im reasonably certain that if every stealthed player saw every non-stealthed player with a giant orb of light above their head, they'd know to keep their distance.

Problem is, any self-respecting PvP'r with Magelight will ALSO be stealthed, rendering their own detection limited, while simultaneously detecting other non-magelight using players.
Whether it orbits or not is irrelevant to the effectiveness of its designed function.

I use magelight when not stealthed. It has its purposes.

If my guild is outnumbered by enemies, I use magelight while stealthed and try to avoid detection. If I am alone or injured, same thing.

However, if I am marching in front of my guild on horseback, I use magelight unstealthed to clear out the riffraff -- it shows that we're coming and can see them. Also can use it as the "bunny," with guildies stealthed and me unstealthed.

Sometimes I just use it on horseback at the end of a battle to quickly survey rocks or things where they might be hiding-- either I find them or they attack me, either way they are outed (and quickly die from my backup if I can't kill them.)

You can see your own balls and your parties balls. They will "fix" mage light and then everyone's balls will be showing. I want an option to turn off balls please, including the giant balls from bolt escape!

I can see "orbs" (not balls!) on enemy players and on friendly non-group randoms.

I like the orbs from bolt escape as it shows you where they went!
