Maintenance for the week of March 30:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 1, 1:00PM EDT (17:00 UTC) - 5:00PM EDT (21:00 UTC)
I don't even really care about decorating my house but even I am excited for this houseguest. I'll always remember finding Maiq in morrowind just chilling on a rock in the middle of nowhere and his Easter egg dialogue options made me laugh!
It's a shame they don't appear to have also made him unlock if you do the achievement of talking to him everywhere. Given how hard that achievement is I doubt it would have impacted on crown store sales much.
M'aiq becoming a houseguest seems like a cynical cash-grab, M'aiq exists as an Easter egg to incentivize exploring off the beaten path in TES games. Putting M'aiq in a house just feels wrong.
At the end of the day, it's a cosmetic that doesn't really matter, but these houseguests feel extremely predatory towards the housing crowd and relying on dark patterns like FOMO.
2500 crowns for an existing NPC asset. Why is this okay and normalised in the ESO community?
