MagBlade - Breton or High Elf

I'm not sure what to go with right now. What's the best race for MagBlade in PvP? I see a lot of Bretons running around but I don't really have a lot of magicka sustain issues with MagBlade. The stam sustain from High Elf looks like it would be nice for longer fights to roll more. Is Breton cost reduction just that good on a MagBlade?

Bonus question: how troll is High Elf for StamBlade and Orc for MagBlade?

Dark elf. Magblade is best as vamp, with the stealth speed passive, and the extra weapon/spell damage when leaving stealth. Vampires are vulnerable to fire, dark elves are resistant to fire. For stats, high elf gets 258 spell damage, dark elf gets 258 spell/weapon damage. High elf gets 2100? Max mag, dark elf gets 1900? max mag AND stam. That's about it. Three passives, dark elves gets both the stam and the mag version of each, and the random one is fire resist vs something niche, and fire resist is key. I race changed a few patches ago from high elf, miss that aesthetic :/

And the Breton passives don't stack up imo, but am argument could probably be made.

Breton sustain is just too good. 2nd choice would be khajiit.

In PvE High Elf, Dark Elf and Khajiit should be about the same in terms of raw DPS. NB is one of the classes with very good sustain, so Breton passives aren't really needed, unless you're more interested in PvP, where the extra resistances are quite important, and you need way more recovery than in PvE.

Dunmer, for all the reasons stated by spacefracking above. There is also the bonus of being able to swap between magblade and stamblade (and back) without suffering for it.

Increases your Critical Hit Damage and Healing by 12%.

as a nb you will be doing a lot of critical hits from stealth. 12% helps a LOT
