Why with capped fps I lag less?

I ask this question to expert tech guys.

My pc is pretty decent, a good cpu, graphic card and ram.

I can run the latest game at maximum settings no problem.

But for eso I am forced to run it with all the minimum settings and all the things turned off, especially for pvp.

Otherwise the lag is insane, but i don't know why not in term of fps, but in terms of desyncs and skills of enemies i do not see even if i have all particles.

I usually run around with over 200 fps, and they drop to 100ish in very populated zones or cyrodiil.

And i have a 144hz monitor btw.

Today I decided to test something because of the constant desyncs, lags and frustation of pvp.

I used my graphic card manager tool to cap the game fps to minimum 60 and maximum 60.

Basically an hard cap to 60 fps.

And with my surprise now my break is instant, my skills react properly, even in high mmr bgs I was surviving better than i ever did all those years.

What is going on here? I do not know if this will continue to be this "good" even tho the dark side is a terrible game visual in term of graphic and at 60 fps my eyes see it's not smooth like when uncapped.

Any idea?

Uncapped fps makes everything work harder all the time. Capping your fps has always been a way to reduce lag by having it be consistent.
