Does queuing for a specific dungeon include player who queue for random?

I am wondering, if I queue for a specific normal dungeon, will I have to wait till a total of four people queue for that specific dungeon, or will it include people who queue for a random dungeon?

It includes those who queue for specific and random. That’s the main reason for the random queue - to provide bodies to fill groups.

When I was farming normal Black Drake Villa, I queued just for that dungeon. Every now and then I got players in the group saying they queued for random normal. This came up when they either cheered about a short-ish dungeon or said they don't want to do a dlc dungeon.

And thus I believe those doing random normals fills the specific dungeon groups.

Probably queuing as a DPS then... if you want to get a quicker queue, re-gear to hit the minimum 27k Resist/ 45k Heath levels, equip taunt, breach and pull abilities and queue as tank.

My main character is DPS indeed. But I did a random normal before that and got in within 10 minutes. So that was why I found is so weird. And I don't want to go in as a fake tank. So I will try again tomorrow (seeing how the PS EU server is down anyway at the moment).

The queue could have also been broken before the servers went down. However, an hour is not uncommon for specific dlc dungeons. It just depends on the popularity, the population, and the role you’ve selected.

Unless it's otherwise unavoidable, I recommend mostly queuing for specific dungeons when they come up as the pledge. The pop willing to run that dungeon that day is usually much higher.

Sometimes the Queue pops quickly, sometimes it takes forever.

Me, I tend to exit the queue after 15 minutes and rejoin.

I believe that what generally happens is that people who queue for a specific dungeon will be assigned to that dungeon, with one of them being the team leader: and randoms will be assigned to fill in the gaps to complete the group.

This is the very reason Zenimax, and other games, offer an incentive for doing a random dungeon. It is to increase the likelihood there will be players to pair with those queueing for a specific dungeon.

Yes, it does include randoms. Sometimes the group finder seems to break and not work, in my experience it's best to requeue after 15 minutes of not finding a dungeon. You'll probably find one more quickly.
