Hard to believe that you cant search for a guild by name in guild finder. This needs to change.

Yes, I just noticed that myself, it makes finding a guild in that UI very difficult.

I can only imagine what the discussion was like when the development of the guild finder began:
- Attention! It's time to add the tool for guilds search in game. Your suggestions?
- We need to make a lot of filters so players can more accurately search for the guilds they are interested in.
- How about adding the ability to search by guild name? It's obvious to be in this tool.
- No! too obvious, it doesn't need to be added.

It took like 6 years to get items filter, so I think we are pretty close to guild filter by name. My prediction is 2022-2023

Yes, and please change how guilds are sorted. Right now I *think* it's related to how many are logged in and possibly whether people recently joined. But it's a really poor system when an one person guild that doesn't seem to be actively recruiting is above a much larger and more active guild. Sure there are filters, but please also add options to sort through the final list better or at least more reliably from one day to another.

Plus also options to filter/search by trader location (if there isn't one). It would make finding a specific guild easier (though a dedicated search function would be better), as well as comparing guilds with traders in a specific city.

And maybe add the option for the GM to list their name among the other information at the top of the blurb page. Some, especially streamers, do this in the body text but it'd be nice to know if I already had some experience with the leadership (positive or negative).

YES, especially since any time you back out of the guild finder, you'll get a completely different list when you go back into it, which means it's practically impossible to find a listing again if you accidentally exit the finder.

Yeah I've been trying to figure that out too. My guild has recently been FLOODED with applications when we started removing older members and recruiting new ones through zone. We stopped zone recruiting weeks ago and are still getting about 10 apps per day, but we show 350+ "Active members" even though we are always 480/500. This is however more active member than we had when we had half the spots filled with forever offline players so I think it is most certainly sorted by the active player count.

I'm surprised that the guild finder UI doesn't at least allow us to sort the (filtered) list by guild name. It's a common use scenario: player finds a specific guild mention in one of the "find a guild" forum threads, then decides to join, then displays the guild finder UI to join. I realise there are other ways to join a guild, but this scenario is one of them, and it should be made easier.

If you’re on PC, there’s an addon that adds a search bar to the guild browser. Forget what it’s called, but I’m fairly certain it’s one of Votan’s addons.

This would be a good quality of life improvement!!! We should be able to search for guilds by name, also trader zone would be nice too. A trader in Mournhold or Vivec is a lot more desirable than a trader in an outlaws refuge in a dlc zone.
