Highly unlikely you’ve lost them. You may need to go to the relevant shrine and pay gold to reallocate them.

You get the skills points back, along with keeping you Vampire skill line leveled.

and yet the response I just received from support says:

"Skill points spent on vampire or werewolf skill lines will remain spent even upon being cured. In order to use those specific skills again, you will need to be reinfected."
"To have these skill points returned to the character for reuse in other skill lines, you will need to respec at a redication Shrine.( tried this after cure, did not work as the skill line is already gone)
"Please be aware that once a character has been cured of vampirism or lycanthropy, respeccing will make those skill lines unavailable until the character is reinfected"

That's an out of date reply. It used to be the case but recently within the past couple of years they made both skill lines do a full refund of skill points once cured. Some of the tooltips are out of date still like with the tooltips on spell and weapon damage because light and heavy attacks now scale with your highest stats

Who makes sense, if you witch, say stamina to magic you keep your skill level.
Think the issue with Vamp and WW is an very old one who was solved long ago.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Wasn't there a problem with dissapearing skill points that forced ZoS to do a huge refund, inventory and fix of all skill points earned only about 6 months ago?

I remember there being a dedicated post about the topic and how everyone's skill points were going to be refunded during an update in order to fix it permanently.

That was when the change to vamp and werewolf was made to always refund your skill points upon curing.

Indeed. It just goes to show that:

    (1) Some of the automated replies from the help system are WAAAAAY our of date.
    (2) Nobody is checking this properly.
    (3) The people whose job it is to actually help players, don't actually check themselves whether their own answer *is* actually correct or not, no matter whether they actually take the time to write the answer properly or just send an automated boilerplate reply.

As someone who's worked tech support, people not using up-to-date resources to troubleshoot and/or not updating auto-replies with new information is not a surprise.

A few players have mentioned it should be refunding points, so if it's not, and you're able to confirm it with screenshots, you'll want to open a ticket with visualizations on what's going on so they can work on a fix.

I sent them a reply 10 hours ago asking for clarification, same rep responded, same answer only she added after reviewing your concern in the beginning, then that was followed with a customer support satisfaction survey lol
