A solution to RNG drops(sets+lead).

With Markath DLC ZOS added the amazing sticker book that made the grind for sets that plagued us a long time a lot more barerable but still the hunt for weapons(and sometimes jewelry) remains a bit hard and grindy. There are a lot of stuff to do in this game and spenting our time running for the 100th time a dungeon to get a specific is a waste of time in my opinion. An example of that is the elusive fire stafff of the Burning Spell Weave set that remains till this day a rare find, anyway below are some ways this issue can be fixed (some involve the sticker book).

-Using the sticker book we can sacrifice 3 pieces of a set we have collected to unlock a piece we didn't. E.g for the Kinras's Wrath I can sacrifice boots, gloves, chest to unlock daggers.

-Another way that is a bit harder because it demands a better understanding of coding and the engine you are running, is again using the sticker book in order to make bosses to drop pieces of a set you havevn't collected. Like how a dark anchors takes into account which (achievement) boss you haven't killed and has a higher chance to spawns it (this was added a long time ago with a patch I can't remember which one).

-A far simpler one is to make Hard Modes to drop both weapons and jewelry, increasing you chance to get the item you want.

-A different method is implementing to the green CP Tree a star that with 120 points increases your chance by 50% of sets drops to be double, like harvest nodes.

-Last solution is for a token system to be created so even if we run a dungeon/trial 50 we can at some point use the tokens to get the specific piece we want. White Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison already have a somewhat similar system with the Trophy Vaults and the key fragments.

Now let's talk about leads. I really didn't mind the time it took to collect leads but with the latest Chapter they made some of them to drop from dungeon/arenas/trials(not sure about this one correct if I am wrong). To run over and over RoM/DSA/CoS etc and not getting the lead I need made this experience really painfull and time consuming since it takes at least 15m to do those dungeons, now for solutions.

-Make the leads from these kinds of content to be drop at an increasing chance for normal mode and a guarantee for veteran mode.

-Create a star in the green CP Tree that raises your chance for leads.

These are my thoughts for a solution to the current RNG that hunt us today because as I said there are a lot of other things that we can hunt or do in the game but I think the current system prevents us from that by spending a lot of time farming our sets/leads and even with these changes that I propose it would take someone still a significant amount of time to collect what she/he wants.

What you all think?

Thank you for your time.

Well, theoretically it's a good idea BUT we are in a MMO, and farming is a core aspect of the game. Even if it can take a while, most of the time the RnG isn't that bad (You can see a lot of complaint about RnG but it's because people rarely post when they have good rng, for example I got perf maelstrom bow on my first run, sithis DB lead first time, etc...). Only a few items are quite annoying to obtain if you have bad RnG, but I think ESO rng is fine and actually compared to other mmo there is almost no grind. If we can obtain too easily obtain things, I think it'll be boring
    I'm a single character man.
    Stamblade. Khajiit. Mostly pvp.
    And...that's it.

I believe farming is one of the core game mechanics that keeps player involved in the dungeon runs and trial runs. I also know that farming a specific item can be annoying since weapons only drops from chests and last boss. For example so many people i know farmed Medusa Inferno Staff for days.

I think they will not make farming more easier for us. I also agree with the token stuff to be honest. We can earn those tokens
through the sticker book and unlock items directly from there, but i believe one should not be able to unlock trial items by just doing the easiest dungeons. Well surely if they decide to add they will do it detailed and in a non exploitable way.

I don't bother grinding. I just take whatever comes to me.

Maybe if you run a dungeon 3 times and get 3 weapons, you can trade them for one you don't have.

Arenas don't face the same problem as dungeons/trials do. In Arenas you have 17 weapons pieces(assuming you haven't got any) that drop from last chest/boss while in dungeons/trials you have 45 pieces(again assuming it isn't one of those special sets e.g. Sword Danser) of weapons and jewelry that drop only from last boss/chest. The problem with the system is the wrong distribution that exist currently. As for farming gear for hours and hours isn't ESO main theme in my opinion, instead of doing that I can farm for motifs, achievements, quasting etc. as I said before there are a lot of stuff to grind or do in ESO,also the fixes I suggestied wouldn't make gear farming really easy it would just lower the time you devote to that sector of the game.

First I don't think you have to worry about people not running dungeons no more because people will still to run them for achievements, collectables, keys. Second every year for the past we get 4 new dungeons, so as long as ESO is doing fine even if you 100% completed the old dungeons you will still get new dungeon every year .The solutions I suggested would still require you to farm for gear, it will just make the succes of your drops to depend on the time you put into those dungeons rather than bad RNG.

Also I think you must have been confused with the the first fix I put. You can only unlock pieces of gear fro the set pieces you sacrificed, for examble you can't sacrifice 3 (collected) pieces of Kinras's Wrath to unlock a piece of Arms of Relequen but you can sacrifice 3(collected) pieces of Perfect Arms of Relequen to unlock a piece from that set that you still haven't collected. So if you do this the pieces you sacrificed will be lost from your sticker book and you will need to collecte them again.

Honestly, I would not like to see some kind of token system or a system for unlocking things in the game. This is not the most elegant solution to solve the problem, as it complicates what a simple should be. I vote for the guaranteed weapon and jewelry reward for completing hm. It's simple and doesn't burden the game with unnecessary systems or currencies. It will also stop us from farming endlessly in normal dungeons.
