I have tested this for you and i saw a large increase in damage if crouched and behind the target when using ambush. i also tried just ambush and crouch from the front and it did 30-35%% less dmg i also tried ambush from behind no crouch and it was the same result at a 30% over all dmg using the normal crouch and behind target when ambushing. so yes ambush+crouching behind target does increase dmg a good amount.hassankemal87b16_ESO wrote: »I currently Dual Wield as a Nightblade, and am level 29.
- I usually open my attacks with the skill "Ambush" which teleports me to the target & deals damage. I never usually crouch to open my attacks, although I hear it gives a better crit chance or something? Does the Ambush skill work along with crouching, or does the benefit from crouching disappear due to the teleport part of the Ambush skill revealing you?
- Currently Ambush is morphed to cause the next attack to deal 34% additional damage. I usually use Ambush followed by the Rapid Strikes skill, which is six consecutive attacks. Will the 34% additional damage buff register for ALL six of the Rapid Strikes attacks, or just the first one? If it's just the first one, I may have to reconsider which skill to use straight after Ambush.
Thanks.
The bonus damage only goes to the first hit you give it. I usually open Ambush/Concealed weapon. Sneaking DOES increase damage and I see crits on my Ambush more often if I'm sneaking. Though I'm not quite sure if it's a bug or not. Now I'd like to ask a question: Are the melee spells/skills (ambush/concealed weapon etc) affected by Spell Critical chance or Melee Critical chance?
