It blatantly just reuses DKs searing strike animation, so it looks weird to me because that ability was never intended to be a spammable.
Can we please get an animation change to Vampire's Eviscerate (and morphs)?
Judging by the icon, the animation should look like an alternating empty-handed claw swipe (a la werewolf light attack). But instead, we have this awkward one-handed caveman club bash with red claw streaks incomprehensibly emanating from the weapon (at least the streaks would make sense if it were the empty-handed animation). This looks strange enough with a one-handed weapon equipped but it looks absolutely ludicrous with a staff in hand.
I've tried multiple times to use this in some of my solo builds and I just keep switching it out again because I can't stand to look at it. It just ruins the fun.
I know, there's lots more to fix but something to consider anyway.

Agree about the lack of an alternative to Blood Scion and also agree about the sound of eviscerate, it just adds to the disappointment for me.
You can imagine that vampires are strong and can hold weapon with thumb and palm, while attack with other 4 claws.
It's not the best animation, but acceptable, the worst part is the sound of Eviscerate. Sound is so empty and not impactful, sounds like you always miss and hit the air.
My personal biggest problems with vampire skills visuals is Blood Scion abomination ult, without any option for alternative morph and Vampiric Drain Ghostbusters beam style. I even tried to use unmorphed Vampiric Drain, because it somehow remind blood, but for some reason unmorphed skill is even more bright and shiny than morphed, it literally make my eyes hurt, especially in dark zones as delves, for examples. Some comparison pictures of old and new Vampiric Drain from Greymoor PTS:
