Need some help with tanking sets!

Hiya All,
I hope everyone is well!
I’ve come back from a rather lengthy break from this game, I last properly played in Morrowind! My main is a tank and back then I was fairly competent tanking the likes of VMOL and stuff like that! Now I’m looking to get back into it and am pretty sure I’ll need to run new sets! I currently have fully upgraded Ebon and Plague Doctor! Now I saw online that Ebon can still be used but defo not plague doctor! What sets would you recommend in the current meta?

✭Main tanks are using Yolnahkriin set along with Worm or Elemental Catalyst set. Basically you must have that Yolnahkriin set if you are planning to play main tank, second set is situational.
Off tanks in the meantime are using Saxhleel Champion set which gives everyone in the group Major Force based on the ultimate number you have when you cast your ultimate. Off tanks are generally Necromancers these days to utilize this set in the optimum way. Second set would be Powerful Assault and it will easy to maintain this buff next patch, currently it skips some people no matter what you do. But next patch it will work like smart buff, it will prioritize the people who does not have the buff on them.
For monster set you can use Encratis Behemoth set which increases the enemy's flame damage taken by five percent if they are in the range and it also reduces the fire damage taken for the player if they are in its range. It is up to you though depending on the other players in the group you can use a more selfish monster set.Edited by Treeshka on July 26, 2021 11:29AM3

✭A good tanking set that should be readily available to all people by now is Torugs Pact. It used to be standard fare for tanks when I first started playing the game and it is STILL a good option to try to maximize your armor penetration for the group if you don't have alkosh. Its craftable, so if possible, get your other tanking set in weapons/jewelry first and then just craft the body pieces for torugs. It'll get you by until you can get your hands on alkosh.1
