No--what's wrong with trap beast? Plus, there's two morphs of accelarate. It's a big buff so it's nice that it's so easily available, and the uptime is decent, plus trap does it's own DOT too.

Because it's horrible to use, too slow.
Add to the fact bosses are constantly moving so you have to activate the trap beast over and over, and it's so slow and annoying. and the skill legit places near your feet , it could at least have a bit more range.
accelerate lacks the dps the trap beast has and the morphs are just ugh...

Well it is a trap. Meaning you need to set it in advance. Sounds like you aren't so much asking for more choices just a better choice. Probably any skill that gets Minor Force is going to come with similar limitations.

I use Medusa a lot of the times on my magicka nightblade. It's nice to not have to cast a skill for something. Casting buffs is tiresome.

If you're a bomber you should already be getting if from Channeled Acceleration.
Might be something for the OP to look into running as well. It's not doing any damage but you get major expedition for 12 seconds and minor force for 36 seconds in return for a 1 second cast time. You might very well make up the lost DPS not having to run around trying to place the trap where the boss will trigger it.
There are already at least 4 different decent sources of minor force depending on your playstyle. Two from sets (tzogvin, medusa) and 2 from skills (trap, accelerate & morphs).
I really don't think there's a need for more. I like that the skills are from guild skill lines meaning accessible to all classes.
Trap isn't necessarily meta either, which is why I didn't vote. Which skill you use depends entirely on the encounter.

You do know that you don't have to move it when the boss moves right? Once the boss has triggered it, its on the boss for 17 seconds, then you need to recast it.

That would be great. Idk which healer set we’d replace, with RoJo, Olo, and Stone-Talker being so important, but it would be nice to have the option.
As for stamina DPS, have you tried Tzogvin’s. It gives Minor Force, more crit than Leviathan, and a line of Penetration. It also works well as a front bar set.
I agree that Barbed Trap can be annoying sometimes. I still would never recommend using Channeled Acceleration for any fight longer than 36s. Recasting it in combat completely negates the damage increase. Better to just go without Minor Force if the only option is Accel.
