Hi all,
I have a main character that I'm enjoying, but I'd like to make a character that's specifically tailored towards PvP; a new venture for me in MMOs, really.
I'm looking at the sneaky rogue assassin archetype; something I can sneak around solo with and pick 1v1 fights. Not really looking to maximize raid utility in a zerg or keep siege; but still able to sneak in and pick people off the walls. I know that Class skill lines are secondary considerations, and that whilst I haven't looked at it in any depth, I imagine Nightblade is the class to go for this, with dual-wielding and bows?
I'm not a min-maxer by any stretch; I'd rather have a character that looks and feels good rather than is good. In DAoC I played a Frostalf Shadowblade etc... The most bizarre race/class combinations. But, I don't want to gimp myself. My race choice has come down to 2 options:
Not an option:
Any elf race (3) - I really don't like elves.
Khajit/Argonian (2) - Just not for me.
Imperial - I don't have Imperial Edition.
Redguard - They strike me as more a blademaster type race rather than assassins
Nord - Don't seem the assassin type.
This brings my options to two:
Breton - Whilst I appreciate all their racials relate to magicka, I read somewhere that dual wield skills use magicka? And if that's wrong, certainly their Class skills will use magicka? The idea here was like a Breton Infiltrator from DAoC; a human spy and saboteur.
Orc - Good racials for bow and sprinting I hear, so I can pick people off at range and cover distances in short time. Looking at sort of, your LOTR-style sneaky-bugger assassin here, quite hunched and gangly.
What are your thoughts on either choice, guys?
