PTS Patch Notes v7.1.1

The Elder Scrolls Online v7.1.1 introduces the Bounties of Blackwood event for testing, in addition to testing some future database improvements. We’ve also implemented several fixes for the two new Waking Flame dungeons and housing. The size of this patch is approximately 829MB.

Bounties of Blackwood
Return to Blackwood and battle the forces of Mehrunes Dagon during this week’s PTS test! Saddle up with your Companion and ride once again into fire and destruction to search for treasures and glory.

Reward coffers received by completing daily quests in Blackwood or exploring the world contain valuable Motif pages, special furnishing recipes, Companion gear, and a chance to find fragments for the previously-retired Voriplasm pet!
The first Blackwood daily quest or Rockgrove trial weekly quest you complete in a day awards you 2 Event Tickets and a gold-quality reward coffers with a greater spread and quantity of rewards.
Blackwood daily quests have their normal reward boxes doubled and harvest nodes in Blackwood have an improved yield.
Blackwood world and delve bosses, along with any boss in the Rockgrove trial, drop additional loot.
This event also introduces the final fragment for the Dagonic Quasigriff mount from the Impresario.

Tutorial Portal Videos
Now, when you complete the tutorial and enter a portal to one of the possible starting locations, you'll be treated to a short introductory cinematic. These cutscenes tease the main quest of the area you're going to, and feature voice-overs from characters integral to the zone and its main questline. We hope they get you excited and ready to go on an adventure!

Sharding & Cold Storage
We are actively working on implementing new protocols to streamline data storage for new and active players, ultimately leading to more efficient database performance, and will be testing this functionality during this week’s PTS patch. Note that this testing will be done on the backend, and no active testing on your part is required.

Character templates will now be properly named instead of incorrectly referencing Blackwood.
Added a second character template which will start you at level 25.

Companions

Companion guild skill lines will now correctly max out at 10 rather than displaying up to 11.

Rockgrove Trial

General
- Geysers inside Rockgrove will once again deal damage to players wading into the scalding waters.
Oaxiltso
- Blistering Smash will no longer deal damage if Oaxiltso is defeated while casting it.

Dungeons

Red Petal Bastion
- General
  - Red Petal Bastion will no longer encourage you to defy physics and logic to exit Prior Thierric’s room.
  - Increased the damaged on the following abilities:
    - Spider Daedra’s Lightning Onslaught
    - Grievous Twilight’s Shadow Barrage
    - Summoned Scamp’s Explosive Charge
  - Group members will no longer be continuously teleported to Goriseli Moraburo until the event is completed.
  - Added extra visual effects to crystals to indicate their usage.
  - Adjusted the visual effects for Burning Vitality so as not to obscure your target.
  - There are now physical pads indicating where to stand, in addition to the visual effects, to activate the crystals.
  - Activating the crystals correctly is now accompanied by a message to that effect.
- Rogerain the Sly
  - Sweet Rolls will now only display friendly telegraphs to players affected by Unstable Metamorphosis.
- Eliam Merick
  - Updated the display text associated with the Challenge Banner.
  - Liramindrel will no longer taunt while casting Prismatic Rain.
  - Liramindrel will no longer remain invisible if killed while teleporting.
  - Ihudir will now taunt his enemies during combat.
  - Aftershock will no longer persist once Eliam is defeated or ends combat.
  - Adjusted visible subtitles to better match Eliam’s voiced lines.
  - Visual effects for the artifacts used by Liramindrel and Ihudir will no longer persist after Prior Thierric removes them.
- Prior Thierric Sarazen
  - Adjusted the subtitles to match one of Prior Thierric’s voiced lines.
  - Corrected a spelling error in one of Prior Thierric's voiced lines.
  - Updated the icon for Rupture.
  - Prior Thierric will no longer remain invisible if killed while teleporting.
  - Realmshapers will now always enter the fight regardless of damage done to Prior Thierric.
  - Clones will now always cast Whirlwind as intended.
  - Clones created by the artifact sword in Hard Mode will now more reliably target the same player as Prior Thierric.
  - Prior Thierric will now summon Realmshapers throughout the encounter in Hard Mode.
The Dread Cellar
- General
  - The Excruciating Energies effect applied by Scorions other than the Scorion Broodlord no longer deals increased damage if the Scorion Broodlord is defeated with the Challenge Banner raised.
  - The Understaker’s Soul Repulsion no longer deals damage outside of the telegraphed area.
  - Updated the tooltip for Undertaker’s Ascension effect to include reference to the Gravewalker movement bonus.
- Cyronin Artellian
  - Martus and Lucilla’s voiced lines will no longer be cut off when entering the portal to escape.
  - Martus will no longer instruct you to take cover behind his Grounding Wall when he places it.
- Magma Incarnate
  - Ally guardians will now travel with the party to assist with the Agonymium Stones.
  - Adjusted the visual effects on the Guardian Stones to better communicate when they can be used.
  - Your character will no longer flinch when bleeding.
  - Blitz Bonfires no longer have a chance to hang in the air.
  - Unstable Blitz will now always hit and do damage, regardless of range.
  - Blitz Bonefires are now correctly sourced from the Magma Incarnate.
  - Resurrecting player characters will no longer be damaged instantly by Eternal Flames and Blitz Bonefires.
  - Eternal Flames will no longer cease moving around the room.
  - Blitz Burn, Incinerating, and Bleeding will no longer persist once the encounter ends.
  - Updated the sound effects for the Catastrophe and Daedric Outburst abilities.

General

A number of Achievements now have proper iconography.

Dragonknight

Earthen Heart
- Corrosive Armor: This Ultimate now grants Offensive Penetration rather than only Physical Penetration.
  - Note: This change was part of last week’s PTS patch.

Fitness

Rejuvenation: Reduced the bonus to Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery per stage to 1.8, down from 3. The final recovery will be 90 rather than 150.
- Note: This change was part of last week’s PTS patch.

Dungeon Sets

Rush of Agony: Fixed an edge case with Rush of Agony where you could use Break Free on the pull if precisely timed, or with an automatic activate such as Slippery.
Scorion’s Feast: Fixed an issue where allies could not always see the aura from this set.

PvP Sourced

Blessing of Potentates: Fixed an issue where this set’s 2-pc bonus was reducing player damage by 5% instead of the intended 3%.
Deadly Strike: Reduced this set's bonus damage to 18%, down from 20%.

General

Previewing Armor or Weapons while using a polymorph will no longer result in strange appearances.
Fixed an issue where you could use the crow assistants while in werewolf form, causing an animation error.
Prop weapons, such as those used with various emotes, will now properly despawn when going into crouch or stealth.

Homes

Updated the maps for Doomchar Plateau and Sweetwater Cascades.
Corrected a number of minor visual issues in Doomchar Plateau and Sweetwater Cascades.
Returned the chunk of mountain that was missing when looking out from Sweetwater Cascades, towards the North.
- This was previously noticeable as a region of unusually low fidelity visuals, which would normally have been under this chunk of mountain.
Made some minor adjustments to the height of the walkways around the pool near the entrance to Sweetwater Cascades to better flow with the stairways.
Added wooden coverings to more of the flume that runs down from the Anequina Aqueduct to Sweetwater Cascades.
Fixed an issue that caused certain windows in Sweetwater Cascades to have unusual lighting.
Corrected some small regions of unusual collision in Sweetwater Cascades. We will continue to improve the boundary collision in this home in a future PTS patch.
Sealed up a small (but horrifyingly deep) chasm in the cliffs of Doomchar Plateau.
Sealed some small gaps underneath the cliffs in Doomchar Plateau.
Fine-tuned the placement of some of the stairs in Doomchar Plateau.

Furnishings

Corrected the size descriptions of several of the new rock furnishings to be more consistent.
Corrected the names of the achievements referenced in the purchase requirements for three of the Blackwood achievement furnishings, which were previously inaccurate.
- Deadlands Pillar, Tall Inscribed requires the Ambition Acquirer achievement.
- Deadlands Podium of Ruination requires the Disaster Averter achievement.
- Deadlands Tormentor, Chained requires the Party Crasher achievement.

General

Fixed an issue where you would receive an error when opening the deposit tab in a storage chest.
Fixed a UI error that would occur when purchasing a house that only had a furnished template listed.
