We are moving, and FIOS isn't going to be an option. We are going to be suck with effing comcast unless playing over satellite (DISH) is viable. What is the latency inherent in a satellite connection? Any noticeable impact on playability? Currently, my latency is generally around 100 give or take, so not much to speak of. thanks

Satellite latency is abysmal -- around 2000ms or a full TWO SECONDS for every action or click.

When I lived deep in the country I had satellite and, while it was better than dial-up, it is extremely bad for latency and download limits.

Satelite is terrible for gaming. The latency will be so high that you'll be playing in constant lag. I went through a few months trying it out myself and it was gaming hell.

You might not like Comcast but it's going to be 100x better than Satellite.
