No, you didn't. You got killed while trying to complete a PvE objective. But, that's not the same thing.

You only ‘lose’ loot if you got killed and didn’t get a chance to loot the chest. Some players are like that. They’ll kill you while you’re fighting other npcs in cryo or other people. You don’t lose anything in your inventory UNLESS you’re are killed in IC and you lose currency, Tel Var. Just because you don’t like pvp doesn’t mean it should be gone. Just like some people don’t like pve, just because they don’t like it, it shouldn’t be removed.

I PVE mostly, but often I join my friends in PVP. I’ve come to enjoy it, it’s made me more aware and my PvP friends have noticed a big improvement with me in PVP from when I first started.
Sometimes we mess around sometimes we take it seriously. They do more PVP than me and it’s what they live by.

There are three main topics in this thread, so I'm going to speak to them separately:

    1. Should there be a way to transfer accounts between platforms/servers so you can move to a different one without losing progress?
Yes. ZOS should probably work on something like that. However, there are different things that people ask for and the mechanics of introducing them are not the same.
    They are:
    a. Moving between platforms (ie, X-Box to PC), so your account would be created in the new platform and deleted in the old one. This seems like the easiest of the two requests. However, there may be issues if people on the consoles simply use their gamer tag as their account rather than having a specific ESO account.
    b. Moving between servers on the same platform, so, for example, your characters one NA would be copied to EU and any characters you have on EU would be copied to NA and any in-game crown purchases would be moved over to the other server. I think this is the trickier of the two, since it requires swapping data between two servers at the same time. Of course, they could always make it just be you move from one server to the other and anything in the target server gets deleted.
ZOS has not indicated that they are willing to put in the work to make that happen.

    2. Should there be a PvE Cyrodiil?
No. Cyrodiil was designed with PvPvE in mind and completing the PvE objectives is not hard, particularly if you stay away from the front lines. It helps to bring a friend or two.

    3. Should there be an alternate way of becoming emperor?
No. And I say that as someone who's never been emperor. It's specifically a PvP achievement and giving that same title to someone who has not done PvP would be ridiculous.

I really only enjoy battlegrounds when it comes to pvp.

Maybe for you it's easy but not for me. Everyone is different keep that in mind and I don't like losing my loot because I got killed by another player thank you very much. It's happened every time I go to cyridill and I want to be able to become emperor through a storyline and not through pvp. Everyone should be able to achieve everything in an MMORPG not just people who play pvp.

This is a very bad idea. No, not everyone should be able to achieve everything. Opinions can be wrong and yours is. There always should be harder to get things or people will lose interest. You're talking about the "EMPEROR" title, think about it. It's supposed to be the endgame PvP achievement in the game so reducing it down to something quest related will devalue it so bad it will be useless. For example when i see the Godslayer title I'm impressed. Imagine it being an achievement that anyone can get easily. It will lose all value. Just because you want something doesn't mean you're entitled to it. There are achievements i know i will never get and i don't care.

Cyrodiil is an empty useless place for a PvEer, it's not even worth exploring. But still, like people said, you can explore it when it's empty and no you don't lose loot if you die, not even armor durability, you lose nothing. Just accept that you will get killed a couple of times and don't make a big deal out of it.

And you can play dungeons, just queue for a normal dungeon you won't have issues. Nobody expects anything in normal content, there is veteran content for that. Normal dungeons are easy. There is zero reason to be afraid of any of that content you want to experience.

You don't have to be mean about it. You loose Anker chest and loot from monsters you couldn't get before you die it's happened to me twice. Thanks for your opinion.

I'm not being mean, just telling the truth. If you want easy Emperor, people will want easy Godslayer. And if everyone can get everything easily, nothing will have any value. This is not an opinion, it's a fact. Nobody here will argue.

Btw that loot is useless overland loot anyway, no value. You can lose a chest in PvE zones as well if someone opens it before you, while you're distracted by mobs

Cyrodiil is a PvP zone. Any idea that creates a PvE Cyrodiil is a bad idea.

I see a number of players make this mistake. They are used to PVE questing and don't think about what happens in a PVP-enabled zone.

In a PVE Dark Anchor, nobody can mess with your rewards, stop you from interacting with a chest, or prevent you from turning in a quest. In a PVP-enabled zone, other players can attack and kill you at any time.

It seems so obvious. And yet every year, I see players get so frustrated that they were attacked and killed in a PVP zone. They thought they had the

When you do a PVP Dark Anchor in Cyrodiil, it's not a PVE-safe-zone. You have to defend yourself at all times in Cyrodiil, and if you cannot, then yes, you will miss out on loot because you died and waste time getting back to what you were doing.

Would you ever let your guard down in a Battlegrounds match? I hope not! Cyrodiil is a PVP zone too and likewise you should never let your guard down.

In Cyrodiil and IC, its not "your loot" until it's in your inventory. As for Tel Var, it's not yours until you've banked it.

"....and so there can be a better main story for cyridill and imperial city..."

The main story in Cyro is the Alliance War.

How are people still not clear on this?

A watered down PvE quest version of that war is certainly possible I suppose, but it defeats the entire purpose for which this MMO and the zone was made in the first place:

To offer players an experience in real time of battles between the three warring factions of Tamriel:

The Imperial Throne sits empty. The Dragonfires cold; unlit. And from every corner, darkness grows. Now, ancient enemies band together. Unlikely alliances are forged. Old ambitions rekindled. And as enemies rise faster than allies, salvation cannot come from one hero alone, but from many."

If you want to experience the stories of the zones in Cyro, play them.

There is zero need to waste the limited development resources available to the game already.

Bro, no offense but you may consider to take a rest. I noticed that you often gave a few short separated replies in a minute, instead of a longer one to elaborate in details. It may be a symptom of stress.

It's just a game and there are many ways to play ESO. If you don't enjoy certain types of game play (for example PvP), don't force yourself to play in that style.

Enjoy your game in the way you like.

Relax and have a good game. ;)

No improvement on Cyrodill servers -> no ESO plus renewal.
