Vateshran Hollow now always on vet?

Been trying to do Vateshran Hollow for the last 6 months on normal, but no luck getting past that bull Rahdgarak. Spawned in tonight for another go, and it all reset back to the start! Not only that, I now realise it set on vet. I’m getting murdered… why is it now only on vet setting with no option for normal?!? I’ve tried abandoning the quest and respawning in after 15 minutes no option to pick up a quest or anything. Nothing works. What do I do to get in on the ‘normal’ level us mere mortals still struggle to complete?!?

You can only change the difficulty outside of vateshran... Port to deshaan or vvardenfell or wherever, then change difficulty to normal, then port back to vateshran.

Edit: or just get yourself some self heals, and complete it on vet after lots of time.

I have been trying to do the final boss for a few weeks now. Completed the entire dungeon with a fun build, and after learning the mechanics of each boss, got thru the arena without a lot of issues. That final boss though, I have had to completely adapt and change my character and ALMOST beat it tonight, but alas failed, ON NORMAL. This post though makes me wonder if for some reason the system decided to toss me on Vet. Will have to check that out later. It seemed pretty poor design that I could get thru all the bosses leading up to the final boss, but could not even get past the first round on the same build.

It happens, I've accidentally set instances to vet more times than I'd like to admit.

Always check in group finder (P key) if the instance is set to veteran or normal before porting in. In order to reset an already started instance just abandon the quest, port out and wait for about 5 minutes, and if the difficulty is not the correct one change that as well before porting.
