Transmutation has been a trusty mainstay for me, even throughout the malacath meta. It's slightly less valuable then it used to be but its still solid.

In this setup, what's the weapon on the frontbar?exeeter702 wrote: »Almalexia and sanctuary are trash, you dont need additional HPS througput via 5pc set bonuses unless you are zerg surfing at which point you can throw on whatever you want.
Thank you for that feedback.exeeter702 wrote: »Gossamer is another good option but it needs to be active at all times which locks you out of mythic items or arena weapons, since both it and pariah need to be constants. It's a pve set though so that might rule it out for you.

OK good. Transmutation sounds like a good option.exeeter702 wrote: »Also consider curse eater depending on your class. This is a pvp set and thus can be bought in the traders if need be. It can also be front or back barred.
Curse Eater was recommended by a couple people on Reddit. The cleanse mechanic sounds useful / powerful.exeeter702 wrote: »Earthgore saves people all the time.
OK good, I believe the healer has Earthgore already.

Remember if you are running maelstrom resto backbar, you are of course using regen so hots are generally going to continously be rolling on yourself and allies so trans uptime is not a problem, which is aside from which abilities you are using also, refreshing path, vine, cleansing ritual, etc etc.

The set works great in situations where you are advantaged and can seal the deal but against stronger players, half way through a fight you will notice it's not up on enough players to justify its use imo
In my opinion, Curse-Eater is hands down the best set. But there are other great sets, too. Transmutation is great. Spell Power Cure is nice.
Someone said that Sanctuary is trash, but I think it is a nifty set, especially for a 12-man group. 10% extra received heals from all sources is nothing to laugh at, but just remember everyone has to be within 10 meters. Sanctuary wouldn't be my first choice, but if you have other sets covered, it's quite nice. It really shines when using Hasty Prayer or Ritual of Rebirth. A very nice burst aoe heal if you need.
