I completed it on the PTS, I cannot even remember the name of the villain, that is how forgettable the characters in this expansion are.

I completed it on the PTS, I cannot even remember the name of the villain, that is how forgettable the characters in this expansion are.

He's not a villain, and he is one of the main chars of the quest, one of the Ambitions, at that. The final scenes hint at his possible roles in coming expansions.

Blackwood's main quest is one of the worst and poorly designed in all ESO, IMO (many, many useless dialogues with Eveli, fake riddles, never ending runs through doors that opens on almost identical chambers...). I can understand why one, after buying the chapter, wants only to get the companions and leave everything else aside.

Im not talking about the ambitions, I cannot remember the name of the actual Villain who you fight at the end, he is that forgettable, also what is this about the Companions? I could not care less about them.

Oh yes, sorry. I have misunderstood you at first reading. But, again, Sombren is not "a forgettable character whose appearance was clearly determined by the randomizer". And his face is very badly realised, not only the ears, but the squinted eyes too (a shame, usually Z artist are definitely clever ones). Also the imperial women, like legate Faleria, are surprisingly ugly: perennial frown without a definite cause, angular features, shoulders and arms out of proportion, except for a body builder...

I myself did not complete the zone quest on PTS (too boring that initial part), and now I've done it only to fill the rooster of my main. Again, definitely a forgettable one.

I'd like to stress that my criticism is only intended as constructive comments. ESO is a visually astounding game and when it falls short of what we are accustomed to, I think it is useful and correct to signal it.

The ambitions have animal totems. Sombren's is a wolf, I think. Maybe that's why he has strange ears, although I can't say I noticed when I played trough the quests.
