Hi,
I’ve been dealing with this for a while now, but recently it’s come to a serious issue, where I feel like I don’t want to play anymore. When I’m in PvP, I could break free maybe 30% of times at best. Yes, I know I’m supposed to hold LT+RT. But most of the times I get stun, I’m holding it, but nothing happens. I have to sit the entire stun duration in it, and ofc in that time I get owned…or I get another stun and again I have to sit in it. does anyone know how could this be? Are there any stubs that cannot broken from? Most commonly happens with stamblades and sorcs.
I have 17k of stam, and yes I am full Stam when I try to break free.

✭✭✭✭✭I slam them, I dont hold them down. I pull the triggers like I'm on a semi auto trying to empty a clip.
Listening to most console players is funny. We hit each button about 6 times per single action.7 -
Alutora✭✭✭Thank you for the answers. Maybe that’s my issue. Once I get stunned I just hold the triggers, waiting for the break free to happen. I’ll try more aggressive approach next time 😄

Yes this. When it’s laggy you sometimes have to break free 3-5 times. Sometimes it costs you stamina for each of these even though you remain cced and can even be cced again. It’s like the game just breaks when there’s too many people. Often this is a death sentence.Server gets laggy and you have to break free three time before it works

ResidentContrarian✭✭✭✭✭I am on PC, but during lag, what helps is to break free spam the moment before you actually see you are CC'd.
The reason this likely works is because the game is not really working in real-time. You can test this by playing the game with someone else in the same room, same connection, and see that in PvP areas, time is not actually uniform or "standard" across all players.
What that means is that by the time you see that you are CC'd the server has already calculated that you are either CC'd or dead long before you break free.
When you see that someone is using a CC and you know you cannot block it, it is best to spam CC break then before the CC applies on your screen. If you do, you will almost always break free correctly (or break free instantly on your screen, but not see the CC ever apply...). Your opponent will just see that you broke CC immediately and think you are cheating though

This so much too.
If they or you do CC break as suggested, it literally will not appear on my screen. It may show the word "stunned" but the animation wont happen.

WeylandLabs✭✭✭✭✭Coming from console to PC is a lot easier to break free imo. But ESO is the only game I ever played that you have to hit a button or keys or clicks 4 to 6 times. It's really bad *1 -
