I thought it meant camping outside the enemy’s base (and possibly quest goals) and one-shotting the PVEers when they come out/try to get in. I didn’t think ganking included normal PVP combat, including invisibility. By my interpretation, I haven’t been ganked once this event, though I’ve been killed plenty.8 -

Also, most died to PvPers that were not gankers....Either way, I hope some more people will stay and enjoy new found friendships and PvP.

Pretty sure we've arrived at the point where whenever one person kills another person it's now referred to as 'ganking'. Everything is ganking now.
I made a group of people chase me through some rocks and dropped an ulti on them yesterday. Perfect gank.
Then I went to vlastrus and some PvEr kept attacking me despite my non-aggression, so I eventually just killed him. Feels-kinda-bad gank.
Later on some people chased me around a tower at Alessia and got a colossus to the face behind the magic 1st floor box. Tower gank.
My ganks are just out of control.25 -

No, that's just camping. "Ganking" is generally a kill from stealth, usually used for kills where the gankee had no chance to fight back. Some use if for any attack where the loser never had the chance to defend themselves even when not from stealth, which is stretching things a bit. But it's understandable since dying with no warning and no chance to react is frustrating and spectacularly un-fun for many.

This is a PvP leaderboard Grand Overlord.
Most of us, experienced PvPers aren't interested in ganking PvEers. We have a war to fight. We like fighting against renowned PvPers and have fun.
Those you met in Cyrodiil or IC who desperately pick PvEers as their prey usually aren't one of us.
Many of us rather have a shorter queue and more real PvP fights on the battlefield.No improvement on Cyrodill servers -> no ESO plus renewal.12 -

You can believe whatever you want, and I can't change that, but your belief doesn't change how I feel. I enjoy the heck out of this event, as anyone who has actually read my past and present posts about this event already knows, and when I get killed trying to do an IC daily I just run back in and keep at it until I get it done. I hate IC on PC for one reason: the ridiculously long loading screens. They last at least ten times as long as they do on Xbox. Once you’re in it’s great fun but waiting to get in is torture.0 -

I hate IC on PC for one reason: the ridiculously long loading screens. They last at least ten times as long as they do on Xbox. Once you’re in it’s great fun but waiting to get in is torture.
The loading screens aren't that bad for me in IC or Cyrodiil, although it's a little aggravating when you have to stop and wait for several seconds to take a ladder because it keeps telling you that you're already queued for that campaign.
The one thing that really bugs me about Cyrodiil is that my stamina usage and stamina recovery seems to have gone into the toilet since the previous event. I'm not saying I think it's something about Cyrodiil per se, because it crops up at other times and in other zones-- so it might just be a consequence of the new CP system.
Whatever it is, I used to have a lot of fun soloing farms, lumbermills, and mines, but now it's a frustrating struggle because my stamina sits at 0 or just barely above, so most of the time I can't do much to avoid getting stunned and killed by the guards.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!2 -

I actually learned I have gotten better at PVP. I actually got multiple kills on other players and even once won against two other players at once.
Sure there was likely a huge amount of luck in my combat but still, I could tell I actually got better.5 -

✭The best part of this event is going into IC on my troll tank, having someone try to gank me while I am PVE'ing, they can't kill me and I CC them til other allies come and finish them off.
I don't teabag, but I will give a /laugh at their corpse.4 -

I can usually tell really quickly by how much damage I take from a single hit whether it's worth it to even try to fight back.
Last event I managed to kill a few attackers, but this event a lot of players seem to be packing a much harder punch, so I usually just stand there and let them kill me.
If I'm finished with the daily, I just return to base, turn it in, and grab the one in the next district.
Otherwise, I just keep heading back to the same district until I finish that daily, no matter how often I get killed.
I managed to collect everything from the event on both servers, so I'm happy.
Now I'm going to head back to Cyrodiil on PCEU just to run around collecting skyshards, doing delves, and maybe clearing all of the dolmens, which is something I've yet to do on that server.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!2 -

Ippokrates✭✭✭✭✭Honestly, people organized quite well and most wannabe gankers or vixers ate the dirt in few minutes from their first attack. Sure, many of players were not prepare for pvp - it was quite funny when they attacked my pvp ha tank and before they were able to kill me (even in open field) I was killing them with few massive blows.
But still, something feels wrong about pvp and its dynamic. Maybe the battlespirits are not the best solution...2 -

Happened to me just now in Bruma, I killed that guy but then a bunch of DC players thought I started the fight and killed me. while being almost done with a quest.0
