Mage/Fighter Starter Quests for Companions

I am maxed on both Mage and Fighter on my toon, so where do I get the starter quest to access the skill line for my companions?
I cannot find quest giver for either of those in Vulkhal.
(Note: I am AD).

There is none. You do the Daily quests where the Mages Guild sends you to a Public Dungeon and the Fighters Guild sends you to take out 3 Dolmens in a given zone. Also from Undaunted daily that sends you into a Delve.

Plus, you can only get those quests from the alliance capitals. That is to say Elden Root, Mournhold and Wayrest respectively. You visit the local Fighters guild, Mages guild and Undaunted, and you can get quests there.

Personally I prefer Wayrest or Mournhold, as Elden Root is such a drag to get in and out of for these quests, but to each his or her own. :-)

yeah, I'm AD as well and been done with one time mage/fighter guild quests/leveling for a while now. and I go to Mournhold for those dailies which are available as long as you have mage/fighter guild unlocked regardless of your actual level/progress with those skill lines.

i've been at it since 2015, and i've yet to max the mages guild on any character...

i'm mostly a pvper, so the companion leveling with the mage's, fighter's and undaunted daily has been a nice break from fighting (seriously, cyro is basically like my second home

), it's also allowed me to review the gear and rotations of many of the 17 toons i have over the two servers for my platform...

it's funny - fighting pvp doesn't really prepare you for fighting in pve; however, fighting in pve is perfect for improving gear and rotation selections...

basically in pvp, a lot of times you're sprinting from fight to fight...when not fighting, you're usually relaxing and reading zone chat or afk...

also, i haven't done much questing in the rest of tamriel on at least 12 or so toons so i really need more skill points on many of my builds - these dailies are perfect for that...

i like that no matter which toon you may be using, mirri and bastian level by account...you just have to remember to carry that toon's specific companion gear sets...or - just have enough space in your bank, which on one of the servers i'm still about a 100 slots over after the eso plus trial
