EHT Fx Covering Everything

I’m sure this is a problem on my end but I have no idea what is causing EHT’s Fx effects to override and cover all furnishing items for me.
For example, if I put an Fx wall 5 meters in front of me, the wall will hide my character’s body as if it’s floating 5 meters behind me. If I use one of the Sky overlays, the sky will sure turn into another effect but the ground will become a black hole and nothing is visible.
I tried adjusting Windowed(Fullscreen) and the display numbers as per Cardinal’s post 2 years ago after searching for similar problems on the forum, but to no avail. Can someone tell me what seems to be causing the issue?
