How the hell are duelling or arenas not in game??

Surely the BASELINE for mmo nowadays is to put dueling and arenas in.. Why can't there be a queuing system for 2v2 to 24v 24 arenas or something..where collision detection is on? And duelling is just basic stuff..why weren't they in the game at launch?

I can say they'll probably add it in the future, as it doesn't seem to conflict with their apparent design goals, and many people will desire it.

✭It will never be added. There are good reasons for it. The rediculousness of WOW and how arenas have become "the one with the most cc wins" and the affect it has on pve. Arenas are a horrible idea. Just horrible. There are so many good reasons, this is the main reason you will hear, and have been spoken, by Zen.

Arenas? no thanks. Duels? Oh yeah..they really need to add that.
And they need to create world pvp. Thats my biggest issue with ESO. I hate running around and not being able to kill and fight others ...
Dont get me wrong, Cyrodiil is awsome...but world pvp has some of the funniest and awsome moments an mmo can have...if done right.0 -

Not quite like raid since this is about surviving as many waves as you can. Mobs should be random too but maybe divided to tiers. You don't see the other factions ..... ever ..... outside of Cyrodiil.
As it's a "megaserver" and not a PvP based game they couldn't make it open PvP anyway.
On Topic....
If they add duels then they need to add an area to do it. Having people crowded round spanking each other isn't a nice view.
Said it once before, I don't want to see another Goldshire.
And it needs an auto decline.

WoW was mainly a PvE game...look how world pvp shined, where it worked correctly...Stranglethorne, Tarren Mill, etc.

What the hell does that have to do with not seeing another member of an opposite faction outside of Cyrodiil?
You could be flagged for PvP all day long, who the hell are you going to fight?

im my opinion that is the death of any mmo when they want to balance "classes". It is a teamgame.
Although i admit duelling can me fun also to try out your new build on a build you have difficulty with.
2: Arena's sound fun and i had my share of fun with the ones in WAR. But in the end it drains people of the real battlefield. It happened in WAR because the ARENA was more rewarding. Same in SWTOR (huttball ugh)٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶

Oo Are you even playing the game and partaking in the community? There ARE outcries for balancing right now due to the major impact of combinations on pvp in cyrodiil.0
