PS - blocked players can still msg you

I've submitted a ticket in game and posted in the bug section but wanted to raise it here as this feels like a huge harassment issue.
Just got a bunch of messages from someone who I had blocked. This person hides offline so you can't message them back asking them to stop.
I don't block many people, but sometimes it's the best option.

Only solution for now is to also hide offline which really really sucks.

Please please can we have this looked at/fixed?

(P.s. being able to whisper people and them not be able to respond should not be a thing)

weird, only way ive seen a blocked person message me is if they are in the same group as you

Seems to be a playstation thing after the blackwood patch.

I think you can't block players in-game because when you try to block someone, you are re-directed to the PSN block/ignore other player mode (which only prevents the blocked players to send you messages via PSN).

I'm on PS4 and I've had blocked player messages show up in zone, and guild chat. I don't know if that's the same problem but its broken. I've submitted a ticket but it goes nowhere.

Previously blocking via psn stopped them from contacting you directly on eso also. Sadly not the case anymore.

My friend had this the other night right after she had just blocked someone. It stopped after she restarted the client. We can't say whether it fixed the problem or if the person got bored in that brief moment she was offline. PS4.

I am going to guess that this is somehow linked with the friends list not showing up in game for PSN too. I feel like the game game is not getting that info from PSN. Because they are still blocked on PSN. Just throwing that theory out there. I didnt notice the block players not being blocked until I went into Cyrodiil for MYM and saw some of the trolls and zone chat generals that I had blocked over the years in zone chat. Was I actually surprised to see some of them still playing.
