It takes multiple attempts/failures before I can finally get to the character list screen

EVERY time I try to get into ESO, it's a painful process, since the patch. I have to make repeated attempts to log in, most failing, often with a disconnect for "inactivity" (and wow, is that a slap in the face when I am patiently trying to log in!!!!!).
I did a clean uninstall/reinstall of the game on patch day (as I always do, it usually seems to perform better). It is usually with a clean startup of the Xbox, and repeated restarts if it's being really difficult. I'm talking 20-45 minutes just to get into the character screen, ALL THE TIME! Half the time I give up, since I sometimes only have an hour or so to play before bed. I mean, why bother trying to play at that point? And I'm just so pissed off once I do get into the game.
My ESO Plus renews today. I'm about to cancel it. I'm paying for something I can't use.

Folks, I really want to play your game. But between the bugs you keep introducing and now this, I'm just about done.

    If power-cycling and reinstalling the game hasn't helped with accessing your characters, the next step to try is clearing the local save data. The steps for doing so are listed below.
    1. Go to Games.
    2. Highlight The Elder Scrolls Online tile and press the [Menu] button of the controller.
    3. Select Manage Game.
    4. Highlight and select Save Data for the desired user.
    5. Select Delete.
    6. You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:
      • Choose "Delete Everywhere" This will remove your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on

    Deleting the saved data has not helped. I still have to make multiple attempts just to get to the character screen. Because the game considers me logged in as I am trying, I either have to wait until it fails with "inactive too long error" (GRRRRR!!!!!) or quitting and rebooting my Xbox to clear it before retrying again. MULTIPLE TIMES!

    There have been several evenings I've given up, including last night AFTER AN HOUR OF TRYING!!!
    I've now missed out on the first day of Midyear Mayhem event tickets.

    Seriously, WTF. How does this get resolved?

    Thank you for the update. At this point we recommend opening a ticket with customer support so they can look into what else is causing these failed logins.
