High MMR Templar Healing Video w/build. Kept it short.

I get a significant amount of questions about the build I came up with for myself and this was probably the most interesting game that I have been in over the last week, so here it is. The second healer was smart enough to peel off and leave us to 3vX and the movement behavior of the DPS was textbook. It was just a random group, too.

Nice video. I had to scroll to the end to see the outfit you're running.

Eternal Yokeda Warrior & Dauntless Combatant with Earthgore Monster set is not a combo I commonly see for healers in this game.

I'm currently running Pariah / Transmutation / Earthgore myself, but I still feel very squishy, even with 30k+ health and Resistances.

Watching this video, you're basically face tanking easily and I'm thinking I have it all wrong :D

Your back bar looks to be (and correct me if I'm wrong):

Radiant Aura, Blessing of Protection, Radiant Ward, Radiating Regen, Extended Ritual with Rememberance Ultimate (Why not Life Giver?)

    Front Bar :

Hasty Prayer, Pierce Armor, Defensive Stance, Invasion, Efficient Purge and Spell Wall Ultimate?

Interested in why you took those choices. You look to be almost a pure healer, but it's almost a tank build there with a lower HP pool.

This build looks pretty unusual, but hell, you're making it really work here and tanky as all hell.

Would love to know your thoughts on the build, gear / skill choices and how you think about using them in game.

Looks like I could learn a lot from you!

Life Giver is very weak compared to a 4 second channel with CC immunity. It's important to know that Remembrance ignores LOS and is a 28m sphere, I heal people thru walls, floors and ceilings and cannot be interrupted.

Do not think in front and back bars in PvP, think about the flow of combat - offense or defense.

My front bar is for when we are winning or I am carrying a relic/chaosball. Invasion->Pierce armor ( this can remove 50%+ of many peoples mit ) is brutal when my team is on offense and I can also use invasion for mobility like a grappling hook. Spell Wall is insane and if you get me to 25%, I'll cast it twice in a row. I had to add efficient purge because of the synergy cooldown on purify for others and so that I can do it on the move when carrying or taking major inc damage.

My back bar is for when we are losing or defending. Remembrance is insane and if you get me to 25%, I'll cast it twice in a row. Both Ultimates are 128/118 respectively and Yokeda gives me 100 points while healing me back up.

Earthgore speaks for itself and Dauntless goes back to WoW PvP and many other games. CC is very serious and I can borderline ignore it versus good teams because they will use it when I am low or an ally is low, not just spam it. This is a core part of MMO PvP which is why it was one of the first craftable sets.

I have a lot of footage of tanking that surprises even me but I figured people would be less interested in that and the CTF game was really well played. Currently #1 in Land Grab and ranked in the other 2 with < 8 hours a day 5-6 days a week.

Thanks for the feedback there mate, the point on Lifegiver is an interesting one for sure.

Nearly every mainstream Healer PvP guide this patch points to Life Giver as 'the' ultimate to take for a healer, but your thinking outside the box here (and practical showing) is definitely making me think twice.

I prefer heals in MMOs. I'm an old school WoW player myself, so I hear ya there.

I have just found all too often that following those 'mainstream' guides is more about finding a middle ground (ie offensive healer) when practically, I favour the 'pure' healer that's nearly unkillable.

Your video and tips here are definitely putting me on that pathway!

Now to go find a AA group out of Craglorn and farm up that 2nd set!

I've subbed to your channel btw, would love to see more of your content if you post more up!
