Eternally stuck in combat

I've been sitting at the home base in Cyrodiil for 20 minutes watching youtube and I've been in combat the entire time. I can't use the wayshrine, and I can't log out. Obviously I can alt+f4, but I don't think that's a very nice way of handling things.
Can you guys PLEASEEEEEEE do something about being stuck in combat? It's been an issue for years now and it appears to be getting worse. Seems to happen the most when I heal other players if that helps at all. Most common on magblade and templar.

    Update: I'm finally free and able to log out. Still needs looking at though!

    Exactly my experience.

    Whenever I am playing healer in PvP, one heal is enough to often keep me in combat
    so I have to walk long distances while the people I healed are already riding again.

    I guess ZOS testers do not play healers in PvP anymore.
    I admit that it hardly makes sense to play something else than OP Stam these days...

    Yeah if you do any kind of healing at all, I would recommend the ring of the wild hunt because you'll be running on foot a lot.

    Meanwhile the slaughterfish in the zone are very full eating players who are permanently stuck in combat.

    This is one of the biggest things that deters me from wanting to go into cyrodil.
    I love pvp but If it's mostly spent waiting in a town or standing still in a field with nothing around just to be able to progress. I got better things to do

    I've heard tell that swift jewelry or similar speed enhancements make this more prone to happen.

    That sounds pretty strange, but I am wearing Swift so it's entirely possible.

    What makes you think they will start now? I don’t think they can tbh.
