Why does people keep saying he doesn't like alcohol?!?!?!??! I am so confused! And this thread has thus far not been helpful because everyone is cheese obsessed!

I think what happened is that folks would do crafting writs with Bastian, and it would look like he was reacting to the drink when he was actually losing rapport for a cheese based food.

For example, there was a comment about losing rapport for Muthsera's Remorse, which is a writ drink paired with the Firsthold Fruit and Cheese Plate. That's a tea, but the speculation was that it's a hangover cure. Other people have noted making alcoholic drinks and taking a rapport hit, without specifying what else was going on. My suspicion is that no one could replicate it because cheese was the culprit, not the alcohol.

Furthermore, the line he has about cheese doesn't seem very common or correlated well to the actual crafting of cheese-based items, so his general goody-two-shoes demeanor was enough to get folks assuming that he doesn't like alcohol.
