I actually think its one element of pvp that's working and intended and balanced very well. There are very very effective counterplays to bombers and if you catch them out, they're likely dead. I wish the cc break would work properly, but other than that, whenever I've died to a bomber its been something I could have done differently to survive.7 -

✭The only real oneshot gank atm, is pretty long to unfold. You need to activate buffs for 3-4 second, that leaves a huge window for errors. Also you cant cloak on stamsorc, so if you successfully gank on stamsorc im not even mad.class representative for the working class, non-cp, bwb and Trolling1 -

Yep... also, dying to a bomber is just really funny. You just have to laugh when your entire group explodes because you weren't paying attention.7 -

That is as ridiculous as I have heard on this. There is nothing wrong with ganking or bombing. It's just slightly over tuned at the moment. Part of it is the inability to break free. Part is in the strength and range some of this is able to travel.Edited by techyeshic on June 25, 2021 2:27PM11 -

✭✭✭✭✭When one of the endeavors was doing Cropsford quests I took a character in that has been ignored for a long long time. I forgot there was a reset so he had no attribute points allocated and no CP allocated. I put enough skill points in to get both bars filled and went on my merry way.
A player tried to jump me when I was turning in a quest and I almost killed him. Ran out of resources and he got away. I'm thinking he didn't get a lot of kills that day. I doubt most the gankers during these events are actually regular PvP'rs.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."1 -

✭✭✭I consider it legit counter play. It's happened to me either while I was on a flag, or bunched up in choke point. Reporting them for what? Playing the game accordingly? Ganking and bombing both are valid forms of gameplay in PvP. If it wasn't, they'd have prohibited stealth mechanics from the game when it was first released.
In fact, I'd like to point out that reporting them when they're not doing anything wrong is more likely to get you in hot water before it would them.9 -

There's nothing wrong with bombers. In a PVP zone designed for large group combat, bombers are a necessary counter to large groups. Its a high risk, high reward playstyle where even the really good bombers often die shortly after their targets. When you are in a place where you can be easily targeted like repairing a door or standing around on the flags, stay alert and spread out. Hold block on the flags and don't be so squishy that the bomber targets you in order to bomb the whole group.
Gankers, eh, they can be a mixed bag. But you're correct that ZOS considers attacking an unaware player from stealth to be a normal part of PVP gameplay, and isn't going to do anything about that.7 -

If I get attacked by someone who is camping a quest spot that is mainly used by PVErs to get tickets for MM... Then I assume that person is not very good at pvp and the only way they can get some points is to ambush people who have no interest in pvp. Or perhaps they are just frustrated that they cannot win against people who regularly play pvp and take that out on casual visitors.5 -
