Specifically Clockwork City. What gives Zenimax?

So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

I'm not sure what is locked behind a DLC, have you tried dwarven ruins or the very first adds in HOF if it is clockworky things (Disclaimer - I haven't logged on yet to see what the endeavors are for today)

I reckon this will be standard among the options, but that there will always be options to complete the 3/3 within base game zones. At least I'm hoping there won't be days with only DLC options, that would kind of suck for many, lol.

They used to have event ticket completely locked behind chapter so I'm not sure what you expected of them. At least with Endeavor, you get other option.

Why would Zos do things that included every aspect of the game they released?

Clockwork City is old DLC at this point, I doubt there are many players who don't have it. Being locked behind old DLC doesnt even matter...use gold to buy crown...use crowns to buy DLC...its within the reach of base game players...all of it but the latest chapter always is, it just takes some moderate effort to make a little gold.

    It says 'destroy clockwork foes'?

Anything in a dwemer ruin should count. If it's not counting that seems like a bug.

Examples: Inner Sea Armiture in Stonefalls, the Bangkorai public dungeon. There's at least one dwemer delve filled with clockwork enemies in each of the Ebonheart Pact areas I believe.

they probably want players to visit a variety of dlc zones. but at least 3 options will always be base-game doable, i reckon

If you don't have the whole game, you don't get to complain about not being able to complete all content.

Those aren't clockwork I don't think. Those are dwemer. A bit different. Clockwork is going to be your Fabricant and Factotum variant creatures.

I mean, I still don't have it. I have also been a part of this game since the beginning. I choose not to give my slow earned gold to random people for crowns and have to trust them not to just run off with that. I tend to avoid player markets in genetal though, its a low interest of mine. However, I would be grateful if you volunteered to purchase the DLC pack for me as I actually don't have any of those in the current bundle either. I'm probably just the easily ignorable edge case that doesn't matter though so it's fine.

There are 5 possible endeavors, you can only get 3, and only one is partially locked behind a paywall. People without the DLC aren’t being denied anything, and can still get full credit for completing 3 Endeavors today.

Theoretically, the Blade of Woe Endeavour was also locked behind a paywall. Of course, we’ve just had a free ESO+ weekend so it was easy enough to equip all your characters with the requisite hardware. The Clockwork Endeavour is clearly there to try to shift that stingy Year Two pack.

It's not compulsory to purchase all the DLC content (nor if you want the crowns to do so is it compulsory to get them with gold), just as it's not compulsory to complete every day's endeavours.

3 can be done with just the base game & no ESO+, which is all you need to do

So where's the issue (except you have no choice of which 3 you do!)

Complete one quest - do a crafting daily. 1 minute
Update Outfit 1 time - go dye station. dye any gear piece for 50g, dye back. 1 minute
Get 150 TelVars killing things - go sewers, kill some mobs (this counts too), loot them. 2 minutes

BG is an option too, but it takes much longer then other easy options.

Not even the cute daedra ladies or ghosts in the evergloom delve count, you need to kill machines. Who is nice for the daedra
Yes you respawn but its painful.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Personally, i think they should have about 4 of the quests in "free" areas" and those should be worth 10-20 endeavors each and another 4-6 quests in areas that require you have invested money( old chapters that are now free don't count) in the game. Those should be worth 20-30 each. People who buy the current chapter should get to do one extra daily quest a day. When the next chapter drops you have to buy that chapter to keep the one extra daily quest for the next year.

This way those who invest in and support the game get more and thus encourages people to support the game. If you want access to the better quests then you buy the zones or a sub. The people who work at ZOS like to get paid for their work just like everyone else and keeping this game running is an ongoing expense for ZOS. Lastly, the amount of money required to be fully invested in ESO is nothing per hour( even if you only play 10 hours a week) compared to most other forms of entertainment.
