Updates to Bastian and Mirri

Issue we have with just written text. I personally found nothing rude about it though, I saw it more as that the OP has read it all, but for the OP him/herself the most important remains that Bastian gets an update, and clearly feels passionate about it. That is totally fair, I think, same as others dream about new companions. We all have our own priorities

Maybe new quests... new dialogue?

I think like antiquities - companions will be expanded upon in each new chapter / Q4 DLC

and dearly hope you have your wishes heard and fulfilled. I love Bastian too, he has such a good heart, even if my character after his 100 times 'this is a great area for harvesting!' just lets out a small sigh (without having him hear it, of course), and sometimes feels like throwing at him whatever she just picked up, when he once again asks what she is going to make with it.. I mean seriously, just a few differing lines, just a few more? Pleeeeeeeeease!!! lol

And re-coloring a skin like that is super easy. It's just a simple retexture. I've done it, because I used to make mods for Sims 3 and 4.

Voicing and making a new companion would take a lot more work, which is why I'm afraid they won't bother with it (especially if it included a quest and the ability to make them houseguests).

and the skin can only be used by wardens, and only if they use the bear in the first place. it makes more sense when you understand it wasn't supposed to be a new system, but to sell you the morrowind preorder...

companions on the other hand are available to everyone who owns blackwood, so much more potential users (and buyers for crown store companions - this is zos after all).

personally I'd have loved to see a ranger skill line like guild wars does it (warden and sorc kinda work this way already) just with more options and available to every class, which then could easily be customized in return. not sure how it would fit elder scrolls tho, so companions are probably the next best thing we'll ever gonna get.

Bastion is great. He quickly became my bestie in the world and allows me to do content I couldn't do previously alone.

The only thing I DON'T like about Bastion is his 'perk' which IMHO is utter rubbish.

I think that needs to be seriously reworked.

If he could perhaps find positions in things like lock boxes, chests etc when you loot them and perhaps give you the odd XP Pot that would be great.

But right now, it kinda just doesn't feel like much of a perk at all, especially next to Mirri's one which is INSANELY good!

Agreed... I haven't thought about the perk. I just imagine he doesn't have one.

I have to admit that it does get a little repetitive... and I do the same thing as you, except I find myself actually answering him... What do you think you will make with that? Absolutely nothing, Bastian... it's quite useless.

I've been recently trying to farm the lead for the kilt in Shadowfen and every time I find a heavy sack and he asks... find anything? No Bastian... yet again... absolutely nothing.

Or when he's talking about how he likes the cities and the rude people... do you think that strange? No Bastian... but it is quite strange that you keep telling me over and over again.

I think I need to find some real life friends

Nothing wrong with adding AI to one's friends

The way things are going this will become a huge feature of human life, so we gamers are just a step ahead of what will turn norm for everyone eventually anyway

Please assign a different button to talking to Mirri & Bastian. They are CONSTANTLY getting in the way of everything (harvestable nodes, chests, jumping, talking to NPCs, looting) and talking about crap I don't care about (nor do any of my guildmates). Like, make it B instead of A?

Also: I've heard Bastian will alert to Heavy Sacks, which is awesome! I personally haven't had him do it yet, but it's an awesome and very liked feature.

I haven't found much use in either of their perks tbh, and both seem rather bugged. Barely even working.
