How useful is necromancer in the late game? Are they any good compare to temps and wadern

dragonflame
I really like the necromancer healer play style and it's a breath of from playing templar and warden. My main concern is being able to do vet dlc and some trials. I'm seeing necro healer becoming more popular. However, it's seem that's players learn toward wadern and templar. What can necromancer bring to fight that the two other popular classes cannot.

For one, they bring the Necro rez ability, and the Colossus which provides Major Vulnerability.

They also have some purge abilities as well, I'm not sure if other classes have access to them outside of the actual Support line Purge, but the Necro's combines a purge with a HOT.

Necromancer healer brings the Empower buff to the group, which increases everyone’s Light and Heavy Attack damage by 40%. This is massive, and results in about 5% boost to group DPS. No other class can give this to others, and only Templar can empower themselves easily (and not rely on a Necro). Necro DPS cannot use this skill effectively, and Necro tanks are often not in a good position to cast it on everyone. Empower alone makes Necro healer unique and powerful, arguably the best offensive support class (Warden is the best defensive support class).

They also have access to the Colossus ultimate, which is a nice option when you don’t need a 4th Warhorn or a defensive ult.

By offensive you mean the many debuffs that necro can use. I also notice that necro can do some dps with totem, mage and grave yard

Only reason nerco healer isn't more popular it's gated. Absolutely nothing is wrong with them.

Yep they have great debuffs on enemies, and buffs for allies. No other healing class can increase the group’s damage more.

Presumably they mean that you must own Elsweyr or buy the class in the crown store.
