Is This a Bug or a Feature

With the closing the portals in Firsthold (Aldermi Dominion) quest when you kill the daedra BEFORE you enter each portal to destroy the Sigel Stone (about 10 creatures x2) you do not get any experience points. I have noticed this for years so I assume it is a feature? Was curious why.

Those who have done this quest would (hopefully) understand what I am saying.

The daedra inside the castle when running between the different portal points? Done that quest a few times but never really noticed whether or not experience was given.

Don't those particular mobs disappear after completing the quest line? If so, I would think then that the intent here is to kill what you need when doing the quest rather than having a place to farm specific mobs for experience and drops.

But that is just conjecture, I have no idea what the developers intended.

Report as a bug either way.

If it is, then maybe it will get fixed.

If it's not a bug, then status quo.

You could be right about the farming as they do respawn fairly quickly. You do get experience for kills inside the portals but I do now know if that area respawns.

Oh well, getting the true answer is not likely to end world hunger, so..........
