Harrowstorm Mechanics

I looked through the patch notes but I didnt see any changes there?

The ghosts now seem unstoppable (most of the time) and so HS becomes over-run with baddies.

Ive probably done 1000 of these storms and usually I just stun ghost and move on to next one. But now approx 95% of time Im lucky if I can stun one and its only stunned for a second or two and attempts to re-stun it fail.

Its hard to describe so I made a quick vid to show what I mean (plz forgive poor quality- it doesnt look like that in my game?)

The other 5% of time, ghosts spawn in perma stunned state without anyone touching them, as I show in second quick vid. (Wish the percentages had been reversed here lol)

So does anyone know if this is some new mechanic Im not familiar with or some sort of bug?
BTW these were both in Western Skyrim and changing instance doesnt help.

After someone suggested to me that it was a companion related bug (made sense as the bug arrived at the same time as companions) I did a few tests this morning.

So it seems players can no longer stop the ghosts. Only companions can. By just showing up at the harrowstorm, ghosties freeze in place at the sight of them.

If the companion dies, ghosts resume their moving towards the pikes. Rez the companion and ghosts freeze in place once again.

Sooo, I guess until bug is fixed, remember to keep companion alive at harrowstorm (at least while pikes are up) and in return he/she will keep you alive as well.

A 1000 Storms.? Probably a little overkill  but from a patch note perspective, they should not have changed

Same, I didn't find it in the patch notes. But I guess, the stuns are now working as properly intended instead of the previous perma-stun. Stun the adds (including Souls) for X seconds, then it wears off and they gain stun immunity for a set amount of time before they can be stunned again. I wager the perma-stun wasn't meant to be there in the first place (though I would love to be wrong in this aspect, makes it way easier).

Also, you have to actually enter combat with a Companion active in the Harrowstorm for the Souls to stop in place, not just walking in. If your Companion dies, the current wave of Souls still active remain stuck in place, and they only continue moving towards the pike after they despawn and respawn in (so you actually have some leeway to res your companion).

My guess is, after this companion bug is fixed, the only proper way of stopping the extra champions from spawning in will be killing the ghosts before they reach the pikes. Only problem will be getting this information out there, if people are still used to the perma-stun/companion bug, or the whole "focus pikes only" mentality.
