So I'm trying to complete this Endeavor where I'm supposed to sell to a merchant, and it doesn't work. Tried it several different ways, tried several different merchants, and didn't work. One of my group was trying to complete the drink endeavor, he and I drank the same thing. It counted for me, but not for him.
So... what gives?

✭✭✭✭✭Only issue I had with the "Sell to Merchant" endeavor was that I had to specifically "Press E to Sell" the items - just auto-selling the stuff in my Junk tab didn't register for it.4 -

That's funny because my auto-junk-selling addon DID count for that endeavor (get JunkBuster it will change your life)1 -
oldbobdude✭✭✭✭✭Is there a place where game documentation is kept? You know, "how to" kind of stuff? I use Google a lot and sometimes find an answer on some problem I'm having but a lot of times nothing.
Case in point. I needed to level my alliance line to 3 in order to get major gallop. A guildie said just go repair some walls. Ok, sounds great. Went out to my faction side in Cyr and looked for a quest or something to repair walls. If it's there I couldn't find it.
Later same guild mate showed me how. I wouldn't have figured that out and google was no help.

The in-game help is surprisingly good. However, the cyrodiil tutorial doesn't cover repairing walls and doors.Megaservers: Xbox NA

Because they give you varity to choose from what is the easiest and quickest to do for each individual playstyle.

So that different types of players can pick and choose what best suits them.
Imaginek the outcry from PVE-only players if you had to do all the tasks in a day without skipping ones you didn't like and ZOS included current endeavors like "Kill a player in Cyrodiil" or "Complete a Battlegrounds match." We'd get a whole storm of complaints about being forced to PVP for rewards.8 -

I'm guessing that the various auto-sell addons use regular "sell" calls. Whereas the "Press X to Sell Sell All Junk" is a separate game action.
(I use the junk tab for all sorts of selling. I'll right-click/send to junk, all sorts of stuff in my inventory, not just Junk and Treasure items. Equipment, poisons, dupe recipes...)0 -

Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -
joerginger✭✭✭✭✭The usual reason for endeavors progress to get stuck is that you have already completed three daily endeavors. The antiquities endeavor definitely worked for me today.4

✭✭✭✭✭I had problems with tht endeavor too.
Found out that the "merchant" I had to seel stuff to needed to be a MERCHANT. Not just any vendor (leatherworker, alchemist, whatever) but one that is specifically called MERCHANT.
