Would you purchase the Chapel in Blackwood?

It's quite style specific, isn't it? Leyawiin furnishings would look really nice in it.

However, drop rates for purple furnishing plans seem abysmal, and I would really not want to decorate such a magnificent accommodation with mere plywood planks and dirty socks.

What are your thoughts?

I want to buy it, but the 700 limit won’t get you far in the house, plus it will be like 14000+ crowns and that’s just too dam expensive to buy. Sorry not sorry.

I am sad not all of the walls are accessible, especially the gate house. I can live with not being able to use the gate, provided I will be able to use it once the zone it leads to is added to the game.
It will probably be way too expensive for me to consider it worth it, but if I could spend gold on it I might.

That being said, I love the way the house looks and to me it's the improved version of the Daggerfall Overlook.

It's too big and both the style and location don't suit any of my characters, so it doesn't interest me.

Having said that I do like that they're doing a variety of different houses, including areas which don't fit the typical definition of a house because it allows for more options. I just wish they'd add more small and medium houses.

Yes, same, it's an amazing looking house. I might also be more inclined even with low drop rates on appropriate furnishing plans (that might be remedied at some point as with Greymoor/Markarth in dailies) to purchase it if it could be "accessed" through the neighbouring zone - that would be an amazingly innovative thing for the housing aspects of this game. Even though most would be accessing it through their collections tab I'm sure, the possibility of crossing a bridge from one zone and immediately into an astonishing abode like the Chapel would be awesome.

I am also a bit ambivalent with the sheer size of it, but I reckon a big number of "pre-filled" furnishings (like bookshelves with books in them) and bigger pieces like statues could fill it up quite nicely.

That water/outdoors area that can be accessed through the undercroft was also a really nice feature imo.

Nah I will gladly pass on it.
First and most important to me, it's way too big for the 700 slots cap.
Second, I don't like it that much so I would spend 12k - 15k crowns on it.
And I wouldn't even know what to do with it.

Until the furnishing cap is raise there's no point in buying oversized homes like that. :/

I agree. They justify the large price of a house with the large size of the house, but without a furnishing limit to match the size, that's a bit unfair to price it that way.

I got the recent ayleid home (furnished) and then proceeded to rip out of it everything imperial.

So when I get this chapel, I have a large bank of stored imperial furniture. I plan on decorating it similar the chapel in cyrodil. (I forget the name, but it’s the one near the middle fortress on the west edge of the map.)

I really like this home, although I am a bit disappointed that the entrance is not the main gate.

Nope. Rather have Water's Edge - which I will get 4 times (one each on two accounts both PC megaservers) WITHOUT buying crowns. Just going to do the quests for this one. FUN!!

Eventually, I need more battlement type of furnishings before going further with it. I want to make it look like its under siege with skeletal target dummies all over the place and the major boss is the giant skeletal monstrosity target dummy in the final room. Unfortunately I didn't grab the Reaper target dummy available last month, it would have made for a good second major boss. I need more fire, destroyed stuff, and those burned bodies this week's luxury furnishings are PERFECT for it.

Enter with a group of 12 at the lower docks and RP your way through the enemy line! It be like your very own dungeon.

Being an owner of some 30'ish homes, I can agree with my fellow decorators regarding the difficulty to properly furnish and theme a player home.

Sadly, I have found myself purchasing the smaller homes in each new Zone for gold, merely to use them as convenient wayshrine-alternatives.

Honestly, the item-cap is the primary deterrent for player housing sales, given the desire some players have to match the loading screen artwork that clearly often depicts far more items than are currently permitted.

I could go into why the "our tech isn't good enough to have more than 700 items" is not a valid excuse (it never was, ZOS just didn't want to shell out the development cost to address it), but that horse is long since dead

Having seen it, it's going to be a really high dumb price and that gets an instant no from me these days. They just aren't worth it and haven't been for a while, with sloppy construction and mistakes, and setups that are designed to make them look huge but with very little actual useful area.

Maybe, if I've the crowns to spare. It is one of the few notable crown houses I really like. For one, it's a nice and proper fort. It even have machicolations! But the enviroment is also nice and spacious so I could block off the buildings and make something else.

As for itemslots, I always try see them as a challenge rather than a hinder, and the main parts of this house is a fort and a chapel. Neither of those things are cluttered with items. So if I decide to leave things as they are and not block off and build something new I know the 700 is enough.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Yeah, I want that Pantherfang Chapel. It's the perfect place for my Imperial paladin (stamplar) and reminds me of playing TES IV Oblivion's KotN - Weynon Priory and all those churches we had to go to.

I'd buy it now but it's not for sale for reasons. Frustrating, but I've learnt over the years that patience is a virtue any ESO fan needs an abundance of.

It's cool to have a castle attached to it, but I'd have been happy enough with just the chapel as 700 slots isn't enough as everyone else has said.

Yes, I want the Pantherfang Castle. Yes, it's Castle with a chapel in it. I wonder if I can change the name; Castle Gremlin has a ring to it.

Right now I want the castle but longer I wait doubt and more importantly reason starts kicking in. It's going to be expensive, 700 slots is not enough, do I want to enter through the basement. All these thoughts starts percolating through my mind the longer I wait. ZOS get me now the more I think about it less chance of me buying it.

Snugpod (gold) for home storage chests and Sugar Bowl Suite (free) for travel to wayshrine. I tried to use the rest of the free houses to store furniture but kind of gave up after filling few inn rooms with fishy decor from fishing.

It is so beautiful, and I love imperial stuff, but it doesn't suit any of my characters specifically. Maybe in a year or two I might get it, at least Leyawiin furniture prices need to go down first
