Healing advice Rockgrove Trial?

My group has tried Rockgrove twice now and have bogged down on the very last boss fight of the trial. Some of this is due to the fact that we went in blind and wanted to try to figure out the quirks of the fights ourselves, but we made it all the way to the third phase of the final boss before wiping and ultimately quitting because it was too late.

With that said, to get us there, me, as the healer, and a few others had to use barrier to get us through the nova phase where you take constant damage over time while you are trying to find the real boss. Granted, we need to do a better job of tracking the real one down faster, but in the meantime, I was wondering if any other healers have tried the following sets in the encounter to see if they help:

1. Gossamer - (20% AoE damage mitigation)
2. Combat Physician - shields allies on a critical heal or
3. Mending mage (not sure this impacts boss fights)

Right now, I switched my second set to sanctuary, as we seem to need a little bit of extra healing in hard stacks. At any rate, let me know how you guys are kitting out your healers for the new trial.

This is probably gonna freak you out.

We have one Necro healer running master architect, Saxhleel and the Pearls which is basically a buff machine for major force and major slayer allowing us to burn through these phases very fast. The other is in Olo and Stone Talker.

We do run barrier there as well but we split the group to find the real boss and have become super efficient at it. MT to one shade, OT to another and group to the 3rd, one we didn’t the real boss we get there fast ulti dump and burn through the phase almost instantly.

We also run all the group buff sets between our tanks and dps as well. Yolna, Bani, PA, Catalyst, MK and Zen’s. The main goal is to burn everything before it burns you. We do alright I’m there still working out the kinks on some add pulls but each boss is a one bang when we focus.

We used SPC+Stone Talker / RO+Jorvulds and didn't have any problems. But the people in my group were quite fast finding the correct one, so the highest damage ticks we got from nova were ~6.5k.
One of the slower groups in my guild got up to 10k ticks. They use a similar gear setup (worm instead of stonetalker) and they use a barrier when ticks get too high.
The damage seems to increase by ~30% each tick, so the best way to survive is to get faster.

I'd assume that gossamer would be the best set to increase group survivability in that phase (but didn't test that). Maybe add Nightflame or Lord Warden on top if you need more. Also make sure that all your defensive buffs don't run out during that phase.
But all in all it comes down to speed. No matter which set you pick, it will only allow you to survive a few more seconds, before the hits get too high again.
